[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PowerClean DualBrush is an awesome, lightweight vacuum for a quick cleanup-- it handles daily messes with ease including everything from small crumbs/glitter from my 4 year old to larger debris like cat litter and Aussie hair. I loved the AutoAdapt technology and how it kicked in extra power when needed. My only complaint is that the battery would drain quickly when doing a large area of carpet, but for hardwoods and rugs the battery lasts plenty long to get the job done. The lights really helped to illuminate messes when cleaning-- I am always shocked at how much more dirt I can see with the extra lighting. I really like the stand up design of this vacuum-- it tucks away very nicely in the closet or laundry room. Overall, this is one of the most powerful stick vacuums I have ever tried-- though the extra power does seem to somewhat effect the battery life. I especially like to use this vacuum for fast clean ups because it is so light and convenient and has great power.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: - Handles small crumbs and pet hair well - Great on hard floors and upholstery - Self-standing design saves space - LED light reveals hidden debris - Easy-to-empty dust bin and handy attachments
Cons: - Struggles with larger debris and carpets - Heavier than expected for a compact vacuum - AutoAdapt suction boost feels underpowered
Verdict: A convenient stick vacuum for light, everyday messes and hard floors. Best suited as a secondary vacuum for quick cleanups rather than a primary option for deep carpet cleaning.
The Bissell PowerClean DualBrush cordless stick vacuum earns a solid 3 out of 5 stars from me. It’s a convenient option for everyday cleaning, but it has some limitations worth noting.
Everyday Messes Small debris: Handles crumbs, pet hair, and light messes well, especially on hard floors.
Larger debris: Struggles with bigger particles, which means you may need multiple passes.
Surfaces: Excellent on hard floors, decent on rugs, and only average on carpet.
AutoAdapt Technology The feature does kick in extra power when needed, but the suction boost wasn’t as strong as I expected.
It’s helpful for transitions, but not a game-changer compared to other stick vacs I’ve tried.
Design & Usability Self-standing design: A big plus. It saves space and makes quick cleanups easy.
LED light: Great for spotting crumbs and dog fur that aren’t visible at first glance.
Weight: Heavier than I’d like for a smaller vacuum, which makes longer cleaning sessions tiring.
Attachments: The wand tools are versatile and handy for upholstery, corners, and tight spaces.
Dust bin: Easy to empty, which adds to the convenience.
Battery Life Reasonable runtime for everyday use. Long enough for small jobs, though not ideal for deep whole-house cleaning.
Overall Value Works best as a secondary vacuum for quick cleanups rather than a primary machine.
Compared to other stick vacs, it shines on hard floors and upholstery but falls short on carpets.
Price-to-performance feels fair, but not exceptional.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your detailed review. We’re glad you found the design and hard floor performance helpful, but we’re sorry the carpet cleaning and suction boost didn’t meet your expectations. For better results on carpets and larger debris, we recommend checking the brush roll for obstructions and using the highest power setting. If you’d like more tips or assistance, please reach out to us at support.bissell.com—we’re happy to help!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the PowerClean DualBrush to be quite good for everyday messes — small crumbs, dust, and even some larger debris — especially on my hard wood floors. The motor and tangle-free brush roll generate enough suction and agitation to pick up fine dust and everyday crumbs. The built-in LED light on the brush head helps a lot in dark corners or under furniture — you can actually see dust and crumbs you might otherwise miss. It handles modest larger debris (e.g. small bits of food, dirt, bits of debris) decently — but I found its brush-head design is somewhat bulky, which can make vacuuming right along baseboards or tight corners less effective. On low-pile or thinner rugs — passable but not perfect. It agitates and lifts dirt up, but for deep carpet cleaning or thicker carpets, it required multiple passes to get a thorough clean — not quite as aggressive as a full-size upright or heavy-duty carpet vacuum. Overall, as a “daily clean-up / quick vacuum” tool, it’s effective and convenient. For heavier-duty carpet jobs or deeply embedded dirt, it’s less impressive. The “AutoAdapt technology” seemed very touchy — it seemed to “adapt” when I didn’t need or want it to and when I would need it, I’d have to manually adjust. So that wasn’t a feature that I felt was needed, nor did I find it particularly useful. One of the nicest practical features of the PowerClean is that it stands upright on its own, without needing to lean it against a wall or use a dock. It made pausing mid-clean quick and easy (e.g. when moving furniture, reaching under a couch, emptying the dustbin, or checking a mess before finishing). I didn’t have to find a wall or worry about it tipping over as long as I placed it fairly upright. I think the Bissell PowerClean DualBrush offers very good value for what it is: a lightweight, cordless, relatively affordable stick vacuum designed for everyday messes. It’s more versatile / floor-efficient than the most basic lightweight stick vacuums — thanks to good enough suction, a tangle-free brush roll, and useful attachments (crevice tool, upholstery tool). The self-standing feature and cordless design make it more user-friendly and convenient than most budget stick vacuums that need to be propped or hung up. However, it doesn’t replace a full-size upright or deep-carpet vacuum — if you mostly clean heavy carpets or need a vacuum for large messes (spills, heavy dirt), it probably falls short compared with more powerful or specialized models. In short: for a daily-use vacuum in a typical household (hard floors, small rugs, everyday crumbs/pet hair/dirt), this vacuum punches above its price and feels like a good everyday “go-to” vacuum — especially for quick clean-ups, routine maintenance, or homes with mostly hard floors. If you’re looking for something to deep clean carpets, handle very large debris, or clean heavy-duty messes (e.g. renovation dust, pet accidents, large spills), a dedicated upright or more powerful model would still be worth it. I’d rate the PowerClean DualBrush as a solid mid-range stick vacuum that delivers well on everyday cleaning needs. It won’t be the best for heavy-duty or deep clean jobs, but it shines for convenience, ease of use, and everyday versatility. If I needed a go-to vacuum for regular tidying, stairs, quick daily clean-ups, or small-to-medium messes, I’d happily use this one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little vacuum cleaner is great to have for everyday messes. It's is lightweight, versatile, and being cordless, it goes every where. It stands up well on its own, but when you want to use it, you have to put your foot on the base to release the handle. I prefer to be able to just apply some pressure on the handle to release it. The AutoAdapt feature was interesting, but I'm not sure it was really necessary for my use. The vacuum was especially good at cleaning the hardwood floor, swiveling easily around objects and indicating when there was still debris on the floor. It also went right up against the baseboards. When something couldn't be reached along an edge or corner, it was so easy to release the handle from the base unit to use it in the crevices. I didn't find it as effective on the carpet, but since most of my flooring is not carpeted, I found it a very nice vacuum. I especially love how light weight it is. Overall, I think it ranks very well compared to other stick vacuums I've had. If it cleaned carpets better, I would say it was one of the best on the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought I loved my previous stick vacuum, until I got this one. There are some great stand-out features- incredible lights (that show me cat hair I couldn’t see on our floors), handles beautifully, light weight. My toddler loves for me to shorten it and he vacuums the floor. It does a fantastic job on hard floors, with cat hair, dust, and larger pieces (handles Cheerios with ease). This is the first stick vac I’ve had that could actually remove cat hair from my dark area rug. It has an auto-adapt feature that boosts the power, helping to pick up more mess. I do wish the power stayed high a little longer, which is truly my only complaint. It’s a breeze to empty and clean. The furniture attachment WORKS- my cat insists on sleeping on my son’s chair, and this vacuum removes almost all the hair in a single pass. I use this vacuum multiple times per day. Hands down recommend this vacuum!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is so great to have around. We have an upright vacuum, but taking it out just to tidy up at the end of the day is time consuming and cumbersome. With the PowerClean DualBrush vacuum, taking care of messes is so simple and actually enjoyable. It has a charging station that can be installed on the wall, making it easy to just grab and go, without worrying about having enough battery. And speaking about battery, the AutoAdapt technology is amazing; it detects extra debris, and it automatically kicks on higher power, making the battery last longer, as it’s not on full blast unless it’s needed. The bright lights make it so easy to find dust and dog hair. We have a golden retriever and the amount of hair around the house is never ending, however, with this vacuum we can ensure to keep it under control. A big plus is the brush! Unlike other vacuums, hair doesn’t get stuck in the brush, which means you don’t have to spend any time cleaning and worrying about overworking the motor and potentially ruin your vacuum. Another thing I love about the PowerClean is that unlike other cordless stick vacuums, this vacuum can stand on its own. My only complain is that it can be a little bit heavy. I have a bad shoulder, and if I use it for extended periods of time, the weight starts bothering me. Overall, it’s an awesome vacuum to have around.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the PowerClean DualBrush for a few weeks and it has been such a great addition. My favorite feature is easily the lights on the brush head (truly a game-changer!) that make it so easy to see the before/after and help me know when an area is totally clean. Whether it's a small cleanup or a big mess, it handles both very well and adds an extra boost on its own with the AutoAdapt technology. Another great feature is how it stands on its own, so no more leaning vacuums against a corner or the counter! The battery life isn't great and I have to charge it every day, but we are also heavy users with four young kids and constant messes. It's not a heavy vacuum but moving it around tight spaces does require a little extra effort. Overall, I'm so glad to have this vacuum...and a cleaner home!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve tried various vacuums throughout my life and am always on the lookout for my next favorite. Bissell has been a long-standing favorite for me, and while this vacuum didn’t disappoint, it won’t be my new go-to. However, let me share my favorite parts first. This vacuum has a unique feature that really stands out for me: it can stand up on its own! What a brilliant idea! I often multitask while cleaning, so I might vacuum a room and then stop in the middle to put away toys or trash. Finding the right place to leave the vacuum out of the way until I return is always a hassle. Especially when it doesn’t stay in its designated spot or falls over, spilling the entire canister all over the freshly vacuumed floor. The fact that I can simply stand this vacuum up is incredibly convenient.
Another feature I really appreciate is the “headlights” on the vacuum. They’re incredibly helpful in distinguishing between dirt and Legos! I’ve seen small lights on vacuums before, but this one is exceptionally bright. Additionally, I love how easy it is to clean the canister and change out the tools for different types of messes. The suction power was also quite impressive; it rarely left any dirt behind. However, it wasn’t so strong that it sucked up my area rugs and stuck to them like some other vacuums I’ve tried. This is important to me because I frequently move across various types of flooring and rugs throughout my house.
The auto-adapt function was a bit peculiar and caught me off guard when it activated just for transitioning from a hard surface to regular carpet. I’m not sure if this affected the battery life, but it was my primary disappointment. After charging overnight, I managed to vacuum only two carpeted rooms before needing to recharge again. Perhaps it would have lasted longer if I had started on the hard surfaces first, but if I have to plan my vacuuming route strategically to conserve battery, I won’t use it frequently. Another issue I encountered was the weight. It’s quite heavy for a stick vacuum, and I was surprised by the arm fatigue I felt after just a short while of use.
Overall, this vacuum offers a fantastic combination of suction power and maneuverability, complemented by the added benefits of its self-standing feature, headlight, and easy-to-use attachments. However, its weight and battery life fall short of what I need from an everyday vacuum cleaner. I would use this in a small basement or a loft space, to serve as a convenient extra cleaner for a specific area, eliminating the need to carry it up or down stairs. But this great stick vac won’t unseat my current favorite whole house floor cleaner. For the right situation, I would absolutely recommend this stick vac as a backup or second vacuum.
