After owning and loving our first blender by Vitamix, we replaced it with a Ninja. This mixer was a pleasant surprise. It works even better and cost a fraction of the Vitamix. We absolutely love it. This is our third Ninja product and we are impressed by all of them.

Smoothies on Ice Cream setting are on another leve

I’ve been making a smoothie a day since I purchased my Ninja, 5 months ago. The tri-level blades, combined with 1400 watts are a game-changer for me. I enjoy yogurt-based smoothies, and I typically toss in a few ice cubes. My old standard blender left varying sized chunks behind. This blender never does. A good ‘icy’ smoothie will have those very tiny icy bits that you almost but not quite chew. However, if you’ve watched the Ninja vs Vitamix YouTube’s you’ve been told the Ninja can’t get past those icy bits, to the ultra-smooth smoothie, like a Vitamix can. Not true with this blender. I know, I have an expensive, heavy, ridiculously loud Vitamix, and much as I love it, it’s a pain. So one day I decided to make my smoothie using the Ice Cream setting of my Ninja… holy cow! Smooooth. No icy bits. Not even the hint of any icy bit (which I do like in the summer). Silky and thick, super- smooth fruit smoothie. I mean, seriously smooth. Try it.
I have also used my blender for creamy bean and vegetable soups, and it shines there, too. I never, ever put steaming hot mixtures in the canister, and I always take my time when closing and engaging the lid lock – I like the system, it’s easy, and secure. Clean-up couldn’t be faster – a few drops of dish liquid and a cup of warm water and blend on high. Rinse, and place the blades under the canister to drip dry (I have cats and worry they will cut themselves if I don’t hide the blade). My loud Vitamix, a precious gift from my dear husband, sits in the cabinet. My Ninja is far easier to use, not as loud, has more options, and is easier to clean. Who woulda thunk?!

Great powerful blender

I've had this blender for two months now, I use it almost daily to make protein shakes. I always use frozen fruit so needed a powerful blender that could puree frozen fruit well. This blender has a powerful motor and does a really good job at producing a smooth shake. Sometimes there's still a chunk of strawberry or two, but for the price this has met my expectations. I just wish the smaller personal blender worked this well, I only make one portion at a time so it's a pain to clean daily, but it's worth having the bigger one for the quality. We'll see how the motor and blades hold up over time, but so far so good. I like how easily the pitcher clicks into the base, and how the lid locking mechanism makes it harder to accidentally run the blender with the lid not fully in place. I'm not totally sold on the "Auto-iQ" functionality - the ice cream setting, which is what they recommend for shakes/smoothies, is far from perfect. As with any blender or food processor, it's worth it to stop halfway to scrape the sides.

They ended up sending me a vacuum and it ended up being such a pain to contact them to resolve the issue, so I ended up just keeping the vacuum. Works very well though, just not as a blender

I don’t have any complaints with to working parts of the machine. Just that it is very heavy. Hard to move around. Otherwise it works great.

We got this Blender as a Christmas present and I must say I love it. I love that it has safety features such as it will not power on unless the lid is locked in place. It has blades not just at the bottom like most blenders which makes crushing super fast
