Stop Searching I found the Perfect Open Earphones

I have been on the quest for the perfect open ear headphone/earbud to fit both excellent sound qualty while offerig the open ear concept. I tend to run and cycle out in the open so having that open ear is crucial, but I didnt necessarily want to lose audio performance. I finally came across the Bose Sport Open Earbuds! They meet every single expectation. They are ultra light weight, they sit perfectly in my ears, and deliver music exceptionally well. I even use them for my binaural beats excercises at work when Im feeling a bit overwhelemed and they perform superiorly. My only draw back is fussing with the controls, I wish volume adjust was a bit easier and more intuitive than it is. But after playing around with them I finally got the function down. For anyone roaming the audio world for a superior open ear headphone... LOOK NO MORE!

Good headphones and great features

A few features that I really like: 1) like the open cuff design - I have smaller ears so other in earbuds don’t always stay in my ear 2) like that can still hear surroundings since they are blocking ear canals 3) like the studio feature on them and can be adjusted. For the cons: 1) while I like can hear surroundings I do wish in other settings like an office that had a noise cancellation or reduction 2) they weren’t the best to run in. I know there’s a sports version of them so I might need to try that.

Amazing earbuds for an open ear configuration

These are truly a step above in open earbuds. I have used several types from bone conduction to previous versions of Bose earbuds and can say these are worth making a switch.
The good:
These have stayed securely on my ears (even though I tried vigorously to shake them off in several activities) and I've even forgotten they are there sometimes since they are so lightweight. I did not fear wearing them on a run like I have with other earbuds and their comfortable fit made them a treat to have a long. My wife is an avowed "earbuds hater" as they never fit well in her ears and felt secure. She described these as a game changer and asked for a pair of her own. The sound quality was excellent if you keep in mind you are wearing an open earbuds. It's not going to be noise cancelling or all encompassing and that is part of the draw.

Room for improvement:
I see a few areas where there could be improvement. They have great sound quality but found the low end on the sport version to easily get distorted. I have the regular version and did not have the same issue. It was easily fixed by lowering the EQ on the bass. If I did not the sound degraded on music with a vibrant low end. Second was the volume control. I found the volume control on the earbuds themselves to be difficult to work with. The overall tap "pattern" was difficult to master and often found myself skipping tracks rather than changing volume. This could simply be a programming issue. Lastly, I found that I really liked the auto-volume option but the effort to turn it on and off was cumbersome. I felt like it could have easily been an option on the shortcut menu.

Small earbuds, big impression!

I have the Bose Open Earbuds, Bose QuietComfort headphones, and most recently got my hands on a pair of the Bose Sport Open Earbuds and between the two, the sport version has quickly became my favorite for working out. My biggest complaint with most earbuds is that they don't fit well inside my small ears causing discomfort after only a few minutes or use or they are difficult to wear with glasses such as the around the ear sport earbuds. Overall, I am really impressed with how comfortable and well-fitting they are. I don't feel any pressure or pain in my ears even after an 1.5 to 2 hour workout. The design of the Bose Sport Earbuds fit in a way that they don't interfere with the arms of my glasses and are easily adjustable.
I also really like the open ear design of the earbuds. For me they are noise cancelling but at the same time they allow me to be aware of my surroundings. I run outside at a track that is also shared with a golf course so being able to know when someone shouts to watch out is a plus! The volume that these little earbuds are capable of is amazing, and after making a few adjustments in the Bose app, I feel as if I am sitting in a surround sound theater when playing music. Another plus is that the earbuds are sweat resistant so I don't have to worry about the inside of my earphones being saturated with sweat after I workout. With my other earphones, I learned to leave them out to dry after shorting out a pair. I have only been using the earbuds for about a week, but so far I have no complaints. Needless to say, these earbuds have replaced my earphones for working out and I am very happy with the product.

All day comfort sometimes I forget I have them on

After spending some time with the Bose sport open earbuds, I am very happy. I am pretty active, I do my morning workout, drive the kids to school, walk/jog the dog and then do my work as a video producer and editor. With these earbuds I can just leave them on the whole time and they fit my lifestyle seamlessly as they can connect to multiple devices. I like that they sit on the earlobe because I wear glasses and they don’t get in the way. This comes in handy with sunglasses too, and when you wear a hat, because they it starts getting crowded with other earbuds. These don’t sit inside the ear canal, it does take some getting used to. But then they have the added benefit of attaching to your ear. I do feel that since the ear bud is outside the ear canal you can pick up on more of the sound and it feels clearer, plus you have the added bonus of hearing your surroundings… But the trade off is it doesn’t cancel out noise. So if I have to take a call I have to make sure I’m in a quiet spot.
My latest adventure was playing golf with these and they stayed on during all my swings.
Overall I am very happy with them and I think this unique design is very thought out and feels more comfortable for the day to day, vs something that is jammed inside your ear canal.

The perfect earbuds for small ears

These earbuds are the first pair I have owned that finally work for me! have really small ears and have tried numerous brands and I have the same issue with all of them- they won't stay in my ears and constantly fall out. The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds don't fit in your ear but rather clip on to the outside of your ear. They are snug and extremely comfortable. I can do any activity and they don't fall off or slip around, and I don't find my ears hurting after a while. They have excellent sound- they live up to what you would expect from Bose. The only downside is that they don't have noise cancellation, but they aren't designed to fit in your ear canal. I love how I can wear these but still hear what's going on around me. They have great sound quality for calls, music or for watching movies on the plane. And bonus, the case stands upright- I find this a great feature when I have it sitting on the tray table in the plane as it doesn't slide around. Highly recommend!!!

Sporty and Lightweight Open Earbuds

I wanted the new Bose Sport open earbuds for my running! I run several times a week outdoors and was eager to see how these differed from my regular Bose open earbuds buds. Though several similarities this sport pair has a nice lightweight silicone structure that wraps around the ear for a lighter weight on the ear and same good quality of sound so I can hear my surroundings and hear the music which was important to me for finding the right earbuds. Sound quality is excellent and earbuds don’t get sweaty. Like the new case that stands on its own now and easy to charge. Open earbuds hold a charge for a long time! I would like more color options like offered in the regular open air buds, as the aesthetic is important to me too. Worth the update to sport buds if you had the normal open air buds before for active lifestyle like running for me!

The perfect workout headphones

Finding headphones for working out that are comfortable and provide good sound is challenging. Look no further than the bose sport open earbuds. These headphones provide great sound while still allowing me to hear my daughter while i run with her in the stroller and also hear traffic. When first placing them on the ears they feel a little awkward in the ear but you quickly adapt to the feeling. They stay in place while running and doing CrossFit. The controls to change song or increase volume takes some practice but after a few times wearing them it was like second nature. My 4 year old daughter also loves to wear them to listen to music and dance around the house and our home gym ( which sometimes includes forward rolls or hanging upside down on rings) and they stay in place! The battery life is long and the case makes storage and charging easy. Overall really great headphones that i would recommend to anyone who loves to do different workout styles and enjoys good sound production.
