The Good, the bad and the ugly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] *The Good: the microwave works to heat up beverages, melts butter, defrosts meat, make a baked potato and steam veggies. It has an add 30 seconds and a 1 minute button.
It is quieter than my old microwave. If you have the timer set, you won't loose it if you need to cook something in the microwave.
*The things that are NOT acceptable: it burnt a hole in the lid of my Presto 04830 PowerPop Microwave Multi-Popper.
The light under the microwave, is not bright at all, it is more of a nightlight even though it has different levels. The light color is not good, it makes the item being cooked look off. The light on my old microwave was bright and I could use it for cooking, now I have to turn on my kitchen light to see. Grrr! One of the reasons that I bought this microwave was because it said that the light was in front and some of the others were located towards the back and people complained about the back location and not being able use it for cooking. Is there a different bulb that could be put in to make it brighter?
The sound alert when it is complete continues beeping even after the door is open- why. I am trying to be quiet by opening as soon as it has finished and yet it continues unless you cancel it.
I have adjusted the sound level, yet no matter which I choose, it has a discordant note that is irritating to my ear.
There is a delay of the light turning on inside the microwave.
When you select any of the options(melt, defrost, etc.), you have to wait for the sloooooowww scrolling before you can select it. Not good.
