High tech yet simple to install and use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been loving this lock. Our house is very automated, and this was a great addition. It could be integrated into Home Assistant with Matter.
Installation was nice and simple. Our original lock was different than the standard, but the company had instructions on how to contact them for this and easily and quickly sent us the piece we needed to accommodate our lock shape. It was shockingly easy and simple.
The lock has a battery. That lasts for a very long time (6 months) with a back up internal battery that kicks on while you charge the main battery.
The lock has all the standard remotely watch the camera, communicate through it, etc. It also identifies what it sees (e.g. "human") and has facial recognition! This is very high tech without the complicated installation and learning curve. Needless to say, we are very happy with this product

Touchpad is durable and user friendly. The video is clean and such a great feature on the door handle. Eufy brand is simple and user friendly.

Good facial recognition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Eufy FamilyLock E40 Video Smart Lock with Facial Recognition delivers solid all-around performance, sturdy, well-build, holding up well to regular use and outdoor conditions. Its facial recognition works quickly and accurate. Overall, response time from the keypad, app, and face scan is smooth. Battery life is last for while. Great product! Highly recommend!

Easy to install, excellent, subscription-free smart lock/camera/doorbell combo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Eufy FamiLock E40 was easy to install with clear, step by step video instructions. It offers one-touch lock, auto-lock with timers and schedule lock. Accessing the home is seamlessly via facial recognition, fingerprint, passcode, apps, traditional keys. It has a wrong-try protection in the apps that temperary disable biometric entry after certain amount of failed attempts. For facial recognition, you can choose to unlock automatically when approach or only when touched - I used the touched option for peace of mind; it also works perfectly even in the dark. With passcode, there is an option for scramble passcode where you can add random numbers before and/or after together with the real passcode to prevent spying. Another plus is that the lock comes with build-in local storage of 20GB+ which saves recorded videos without requiring a monthly subscription. The duo-battery system is reliable, featuring a backup battery that keeps the lock running even when the main battery is charged. After around 50 days using continuously, my main battery is still sitting strong at more than 80%. My only problem is that video recording is not consistent, mine sometimes doesn’t record for hours or days. I’m still currently working with
the support team to resolve the solutions soon; but aside from that, it’s an outstanding smart lock.

Doesn't fit all doors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Eufy lock is alright. We tried to install in our metal door and it didn't work. The door was to thick. So we installed in my elderly parents house. That worked out better. Now in the event of an emergency we can get in with out having to find their house keys.

Very easy and quick insulation anyone could do this all you need is a Phillips screwdriver.

It’s performance works flawlessly very responsive in closing and locking design fit my door with no modification and the battery is easily recharged and easy to take out and reinstall quickly when it needs to be recharged.

Easy and quick smart lock upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock is awesome! I didn't know what to expect at first, but installation was pretty easy and it's very convenient. We previously didn't use the front door much because it was inconvenient to use a key and we work out garage door springs faster.
Installation was pretty easy. I did have to carve out some of the wood so that it could clear it more easily. This made the lock smoother , so that was a good update.
It's also nice that I can set a code and give access to everyone in my family. The notifications in the app are a little annoying, especially when the door is being used actively. I'm sure there is more control in the app to limit these.
we've successfully avoided several sales bros by seeing who was at the door and just ignoring them. I would definitely recommend this for all the features and how easy it is to install and use.
