I love Garmin products, waited 6 months for this hoping to replace my whoop and it was a huge disappointment. It not only looks cheap, is large and they didn’t even update the user interface on the sleep metrics. I really hope there is a much better gen 2 asap. This is more like a miminally viable product (mvp)
I wish there was capability to designate primary sleep wearable. I have many Garmin wearables and it’s silly that I have to switch which wearable I’m using that day or night as my primary device. The cirqa should default to sleep unless a watch is detected. But I bought the cirqa for its size and weight while sleeping. A watch while sleeping is clunky.
I purchased this a few weeks ago and there are ongoing sync issues with Garmin connect. It often won't work after charging it unless you power it off and then manually turn it back on. The sleep data is often inaccurate as it's recording times when I'm sleeping as awake, and does not automatically record naps. The alarms are also off. When I set a recurring alarms and choose the days, it will save it as different days then I picked or it will set one time alarms as recurring and recurring alarms as one time alarms. The training plans on garmin connect some days are different than on the 965 since adding Cirqa as the primary wearable and this seems to be due to syncing issue with Cirqa and Garmin connect app. The product has potential but so far is disappointing. The few redeeming qualities is that there is no required subscription model, and keeps my data in the Garmin ecosystem for better or worse and the can wear 965 for training activities and mechanical watch and the Cirqa. I hope there will be software updates coming soon to fix some of these issues unless the issues are also related to the hardware itself.
Had this for a few weeks and the band itself is fine but if you’re going to sell a screen-less activity tracker then the ui and software of the app cannot look like it’s from 2013. This is my first Garmin and if I had known how ugly and confusing the Connect app was, I would not have bought it.
Zero issues with whoop with two years of use. Wanted all my data and devices synced on one app though, so Cirqa made logical sense. But it is an overpriced vibrating alarm. Poor data and spotty sleep. It hasn’t recorded sleep in a few days for me and all my training data is tanking. Garmin support advised me that is doesn’t work well if you’re a side sleeper and sleep on the same side as the band. I rotate back and forth all night so I guess neither wrist would work.
Had worn my Forerunner all day, but really liking the transition to the band outside of runs. Find the smart alarms helpful and comfortable overnight. Recommend.
