I bought this item 6 months ago. There is a serious design flaw in the machine that allows mold to grow in a section along the edge of the tank that is completely inaccessible for cleaning. This poses both hygiene concerns and operational challenges. Despite multiple attempts to address this issue directly with the Ninja, they have refused to provide support, including declining to offer a replacement unit or even sell us a replacement part. We find this lack of accountability unacceptable, especially given the potential health risks and the importance of proper sanitation in food and beverage equipment. Buy at your own risk. Do a search and you will find this is a wide spread problem with all the units they sell and they refuse to do anything about it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased the Slushi about three weeks ago. I am still learning different things to use in it, I did find that it works very well unless you are making Margarita Slushi. A Margarita Slushi with ten percent alcohol will hardly freeze. I am a little disappointed in that part, but overall, I Love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
