Gemini was a disaster for this

Debated about pixel 4 versus pixel 5 watch to replace my dead pixel 2. Pixel 5 was selected in large part because I was assured Gemini on board was going to be amazing. Only to find it a horror show!
I have both a personal account (which had to be used for the Fitbit aspect) and a work account which involves most of the rest of my life. However Gemini refused to work with the work account. Had to go through multiple restarts and hours of fiddling before finally getting things sorted out by basically killing off Gemini. Only to find it came back to life... Presumably after a system update or something. And had to redo the whole thing again. Hours of my life that I will never get back. Somehow I was finally able to sort things out and get it functioning adequately even with Gemini on board. I was honestly tempted to return the thing and downgrade to a pixel 4 but believed that Google was going to be pushing Gemini on four in future system updates anyway so I'd be back in the same mess.
The watch itself works well but can't really see much difference to the pixel too other than the annoyance factor of the Gemini stuff. Oh I suppose the water lock is easier to access which is nice for when you pop into a shower. But otherwise... Don't really see any difference.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
