Almost Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been an avid folding phone customer since the MS Duo (yeah, the fruit boss stole the interface AND the name). I chose the Z Fold 8 cuz it offered the best in form, weight, pocketability, and thinness. I choose to get my wife a Z Fold 8 as well (and she loves it!).
Had Samsung incorporated their own version of Pixel Snap and kept Flex Mode, this would be the absolute perfect device (okay, go horizontal with the camera array to better allow for accessories as well). Even still, easily 2026 phone of the year!

Perfect size

Samsung nailed it on the size and shape. I find both inner and outer screens very convenient. Battery life is fantastic and the chips these days are way overkill for daily tasks but appreciated. Samsung needs up up the ip rating though as other foldables have ip68 ratings.

Ugh. The original is better

from Harvey la
I hadn't realized the change in the name and accidentally ordered the 8 instead of the 8 ultra. I previously owned a fold 6 so I decided to trade it in for an upgrade (biggest mistake and a different story). Back to this phone. I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT! The width is uncomfortable when holding it in the closed position. The batter drains far faster than the last series. The display quality was good but it seemed to lag and become unresponsive which caused me to have to close out. I'm not sure about durability because after a week or so I decided to return it. Which started the mess I'm in now. And yes I'm still waiting on a resolution since 8/28 and today is 9/10.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Hits Different
on September 10, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Why the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Hits Different
Finding a foldable phone that actually gets the proportions right is rare, which is why I chose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. If you are tired of the awkward, candy-bar narrowness of past generations, this model's unique, wider footprint makes all the difference for everyday use.
* The Form Factor: Samsung finally gave us a much more natural, user-friendly canvas. The adjusted aspect ratio means typing on the cover screen doesn't feel cramped, and opening it up reveals an immersive display that feels genuinely practical rather than gimmicky.
* The Clean Aesthetic: Beyond the physical dimensions, the overall design language is remarkably sharp. The hardware looks sleek, modern, and ultra-clean in the hand, cutting down on bulk while keeping that high-end structural feel intact.
* The Pistachio Colorway: Hands down, the online-exclusive Pistachio finish steals the show. It is subtle, unique, and sophisticated—steering away from boring standard grays and blacks into a soft, muted tone that looks effortlessly premium without shouting for attention.
Everything about how it looks and feels is deeply satisfying. It finally bridges the gap between futuristic tech and a genuinely gorgeous daily driver.

The phone I didn't know I was missing
on September 9, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Samsung z fold 8, as several years ago since I had a Galaxy Z fold 4, found it awesome, but it had issues since some sand worked it way into the hinge; destroying the screen. Even though this device is a different format, I found it easier to use. With the earlier fold device, It seemed to me every time I hauled it out of my pocket, I opened it. With the fold 8, I'd say I open it straight away out of my pocket probably 40% of the time, and the cover screen is just as good as the taller S24 I came from. Right now, I'm writing this review from my Fold 8. Using the cover screen while it's in a case feels like using an oddly semi-thick oddly sized phone. If anything piques your attention, snapping the phone open gives a tablet-level sized screen where you have more room to breathe, and don't feel like you are viewing pages through a soda straw. I recently took it on a 10-hour flight and didn't bring my laptop. To be honest, I didn't miss it at all. Yes, when open it is not quite as big as a laptop screen. But, for the level of mobility you get by the ability to fold it shut and drop it in your pocket is simply amazing, especially when traveling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose Samsung because their products are first rate, quality items; and I was not disappointed this time with my new Galaxy Z fold 8. It is lightweight, powerful, great screen resolution, and fis well in my hand.
