[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung Z fold 8 delivers the most refined foldable experience yet, pairing a lightweight durable titanium build with ultra slim hinge that makes the display crease virtually imperceptible. Flagship performance and all day battery is the reason I chose Samsung Galazy Z Fold 8

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this device because it's perfect for my everyday use. I only wish it had the privacy screen from the ultra but this is just perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the Z Fold 3, 4, and 6 in the past. I loved their size so I was a bit skeptical about going for the Fold 8 which is a size I'm not used to. It does take a bit, but once I opened it, the wider screen made a huge difference for me when watching movies and playing games! She's short and thick and I like the wider screen more than I thought I would

I saw other review for lagging and decided to wirte my review as well. I loved the phone as soon as I got it out the box. Used it for 2 full days. Those 2 days I had lagging issues, complete freezing, and some times he screen wouldn't resize websites. I did some troubleshooting and still had issues. So I decided to exchange the phone. Samsung won't do exchanges so I decided to return the phone so i can reorder. I have been waiting a week for a return label that is supposed to take no more than 48 hrs to receive. This really makes me not want to have a samsung. These aren't the only foldables now. I did love Samsung but this experience has been very disappointing. Also expect to call Samsung multiple times to get help. I had to chat and call and im still waiting on the return label.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z Fold8 because I wanted something that felt different from a traditional phone but still worked well for everyday use. I came from a Galaxy S24 Ultra, and one thing that surprised me is that the Fold8 actually feels easier to use one-handed when it’s closed. The shorter cover screen makes it more comfortable to reach across and navigate, while opening it up gives me the larger display when I want more space for streaming, browsing, reading or work.
The phone feels thinner and more manageable than I expected, and performance has been fast and smooth. I’ve also been happy with the cameras for everyday use.
The one thing I’d really like to see in a future Fold is a dedicated telephoto lens. Coming from the S24 Ultra, I do miss having true optical zoom, and adding that would make the Fold feel like an even more complete flagship.
Overall, I’m really enjoying the Fold8!

Great upgrade from the Fold 7, but the camera layout could be better
I upgraded from the Fold 7 to the Fold 8 Wide, and overall I really, really like this phone. The wider size is a big improvement for me. It feels more comfortable to use, and I prefer the proportions of the Fold 8 Wide over my Fold 7.
My biggest complaint is the camera placement and orientation. When holding the phone in portrait mode to take a picture, I frequently find myself putting my finger over the flash. I think the camera module would work much better in a landscape orientation across the top of the phone. There is plenty of width available, and that layout would give you more room to hold the phone naturally without your fingers getting in the way of the camera or flash.
I also think the cameras themselves could be better. They aren't bad, but for a premium phone at this price point, I expected a little more from the camera quality. Fortunately, photography isn't a primary function for me, so it doesn't take away much from how much I enjoy the phone.
Overall, I'm very happy with the Fold 8 Wide. Coming from the Fold 7, I definitely prefer the new size and form factor. If Samsung improved the camera quality and reconsidered the camera/flash layout on the next version, it would address my biggest complaints.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the z fold 8. I usually do not buy phones every year but this time I am glad I switched from the fold 7 to the fold 8. I chose the z fold 8 because I mainly use it for media and viewing my spreadsheets.
The fold 7 had a form factor that is not well balanced while holding in your had. What do I mean by well balanced? If you hold the fold 7 or fold 8 ultra you will noticed how much back support you have to give the phone in order to hold it. Because the "heavy" camera lens is way at the top relative to the rest of the body, which is light, you will feel the noticeable weight the cameras bring as you try to hold it at the bottom because you're naturally trying to hold the phone to type or browse.
I definitely used the front screen on the fold 7 more than I had opened it and I knew very well that the fold 7 screen was still too narrow (I went from fold 4 to fold 7). It was definitely worth the upgrade from fold 4 to 7. However, compared the fold 8 this is THE form factor for most people. I didnt buy the fold 8 for the decreased black bars, I already knew the size of videos are still roughly the same when comparing fold 7 to fold 8. I chose the fold 8 because I needed something more subtle, well balanced on my hand, and has a better front experience. The only time I open any fold was whenever I needed to watch a movie or needed two apps open while at work.
