A Solid Foldable Phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Z Fold 8 has good build quality, strong performance specs, a quality screen and camera, a unique form factor, all while being a light phone for its size.

I didn't imagine I'd be using the unfolded inside screen as much as I do, as it makes for a great experience when playing games or watching movies and videos. There is some letterboxing, given, because of the 4:3 ratio vs the traditional 16:9 widescreen ratio that most videos use, but its still a lot of real estate.

The real interesting feature about the inside screen is the ability to split 2 different apps side by side and interact with them independently. It's like it's meant for the ardent multitasker. I use it on occasion to search different articles side by side.

I do have some minor criticisms. The built-in speakers aren't great. I feel like they could be a little better. The onboard software is also a bit bloaty, but I can disable most of the stuff I don't need with a few exceptions.

The Z Fold 8 is a very complete foldable phone, and I'm glad I chose it.

Snappy, smooth, and sleek

The smaller form factor front screen is a welcome change for using the device in one hand, and it makes the full inner screen experience a perfect aspect ratio that is already compatible with almost every application in full screen mode.

Size of Z Fold 8 is Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the past, I always want to get a foldable phone. The Flip looks a bit too small and the old Z Fold size looks a bit too big. This year with the new Z Fold 8, the size is right on. I choose Z Fold 8 due to the slimmer thickness and lighter weight compared to previous models. Samsung with long history of foldable phones gives me better confidence. They also provide instant credit to cover partial cost of Care Plus also give me peace of mind about reliability of hinge and soft screen. Discount on matching phone case also make the overall decision much easier.

Good phone

So far this phone has been pretty good. I love the form factor a lot. What stops me from giving this phone 5 stars, the reception and the camera. For the money we pay for the phone we could get a better camera system with better zoom. I also have a fold 8 ultra for work. Everywhere the fold 8 ultra gets okay reception, the fold 8 gets terrible reception. Hopefully these things will get upgraded in the next fold.

Absolutely amazing decision for a first time fold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like many others, I was on the fence about a folding smartphone. It sounds scary, it looks scary, it feels scary.

I was absolutely wrong, I chose to switch to the Z Fold 8 after dealing with issue after issue with another device. I wanted something new, fun, and customizable. This phone absolutely blew that out of the water. The design is sleek and user friendly. It's perfect for small pockets, and I can easily fit it inside any of my small purses.

You can do so much with your z fold, I genuinely don't believe I've even fully scratched the surface.

I love having a small, convenient screen for regular use, but having the ability to open up my device and watch movies on a larger screen, play games, or even just zoom in on images when I'm looking at details is superb. Video editing has never been easier, reading is convenient, especially when you have it set up so that you can run split screens, or even better, one task ok the front screen and open it up to resume an entirely separate task on the inner screen.

Overall, I cannot see myself ever switching back to a normal device, there's no way I can properly illustrate the convenience that a folding phone provides to my day to day life.

I love the new shape

After a few weeks of use I can say that I absolutely love it. Its very comfortable to hold and fits great in my pocket. The displays are smooth and responsive and the camera is great. I'd recommend this phone to anyone.
