I’ve been really happy with this Wyze solar pan-and-scan camera. It was easy to get set up, and the solar panel has kept the battery charged so I’m not constantly taking it down to recharge it. I also like that I can move the camera around from the app instead of being stuck with one fixed view.
The picture is clear, alerts come through quickly, and it has been a nice, affordable way to keep an eye on the outside of the house.

Watch out for the recall
on September 1, 2026

Got caught in a recall on the previous model witch is the same as this because of a screw. My cameras my were disabled and they are perfectly fine and installed correctly. This version is the same as the old one with different packaging and new screws. Called multiple times to rectify because the recall went though Amazon with no instructions and I had no option to get new cameras to replace. I was even assured on 8/13 that my cameras would not get turned off.

So far they work great. I am changing all my v4 and v4 cameras that I have had for years because of problems staying connected to internet and am tired of climbing around in the attic to run wires in the Florida heat. These connected right away and so far are doing great. It helps that I now have a dedicated 2.4 k internet access.
