The solar cell does keep the battery charged. Disappointed that even though you do set way points for the cam it doesnt automatically rotate through them

This is a very cool camera. I like all the features it comes with. Easy to install and manage. I especially like the feature where it tracks and follows the moving objects, of curse, once you set it to detect pets, people and or vehicles. And yes, the Solar panel charges the rechargeable battery. Very Cool!

Used this to replace a stationary Wyze battery cam. It is a great option for covering our backyard/lanai area with a great clear picture. I used to have multiple cameras to cover the various views I needed to see when we are not in the property. This allows me to use one camera to cover the entire area. Solar panel is a great option as where this is placed, there is no access to electrical power.

Overall, LOVE the design, idea, and live pics from the new Solar Pan Cam. My only problem lies in the fact the my wireless is ancient technology (LOL) and only supports 802.11 a/b/g. I've just gotten a new v6 router to get more speed to the device. I DO like the speed that my phone connects to the live stream, the ability to move the camera etc., without needing electricity. Hoping that this will last as long or longer than my original Wyze cam that's still percolating after 5 years. Good stuff in my opinion.

Great camera that has a clean picture, ability to rotate positions and battery life indicator. The mounting screws have Phillip heads that are so small it is difficult to find a screw driver that fits the screw heads!!!!!!!

I have been using the solar cam for a few weeks and it has performed best out all the other cameras I have from wyze. It is positioned on the south side of a building so it only gets late afternoon radiation from the sun and it always has a dull charge, even in full power use mode! I recommend even if you have power close by.
