I love the solar security camera but with a few little improvements could be much better. The video recording should be longer and not disengage until the person comes off the cameras vision. Should have a better notifications system; I have the notifications on but never get a notification pin.
Should have a "one system-payment" and provide all the services instead of having to cherry pick every setting and paying for all the little things. Should have an "all inclusive" system plan to cover all the cameras, instead of having to pay for each individual camera.

It’s easy to install and well built. The solar panel keeps the battery fully charged. In fact I’ve never seen it less than 100%. It would be perfect if it recorded all the time. But it will only record when motion is detected unless it’s plugged directly into AC.
I would recommend this to a friend!

To help clarify how recording works:
Wyze Solar Cam Pan includes its own integrated solar panel and a 6400 mAh rechargeable battery, so no additional solar accessory is needed.
When running on solar power, the camera records motion events by default to preserve battery life.
Continuous recording is supported only when the camera is plugged into a 5V/2A AC power supply and using a microSD card.

Complicated piece of crap , by the time I got it charged I couldn’t find the setup button, when I finally found it the next day I couldn’t read it ! Almost impossible,had to get a marker to highlight it to see it , still haven’t gotten it installed.!

While charging, the status light will show solid red, and it will turn solid blue when fully charged.

Doesn’t connect to WiFi although another brand camera further away does connect. Not fond of the light and inability to easily turn features on and off. Also not happy that cameras in mor than one location can’t be on the same plan.

I bought two of these I have one on the corner of the barn. Which we do have electricity in the barn but just not a good location where I have this camera outside. And then I have one on the corner of my house because I did not want to run electric wire just up to make a plug in. They both are working great and what else could I ask for.
