Hello there! The Wyze Solar Cam Pan will detect and send notifications even without a Cam Plus subscription. However, a subscription is needed for the camera to record and play the recorded events. I've found this camera to be somewhat inconsistent with its detection of movement. Specifically, I have this on the corner of our garage pointing at the parked cars as well as the driveway that comes from the left side. I have it set to detect just people and cars, but if a cat walks through the scene, I get notified that it detected a car. It will also stop recording after a person enters the car and doesn't pick it up again while it's backing up before driving off (I have it set to 0 cool down). I've been told by support that they are award of the AI detection issues, and it will be fixed on a future update.
I feel the issues I'm having should've been detected while testing, but I'll wait until the next update to see what happens.
