Installing the camera is simple enough, however mounting at the corner of a house through siding trim is difficult using the screws included. I had to use 2" screws. Otherwise, set-up through the app was easy. Video is clear. Haven't had installed long enough to speak on solar power effectiveness.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very interesting watching camera follow a walking person. I have had it not pick up when i know that there was activity. Solar is great in Arizona. I wanted to order 2 more but Out of Stock.

Bought 1 initially, liked it and bought 4 more plus a doorbell camera and signed up for a prepaid year of service. Wish I wouldn't have. The cameras will pickup motion but only sometimes will track with the pan & tilt. They only re ord for around 6 seconds after detecting motion even when set to 1 minute. In the middle of the night a couple of them condensate on the lens to the point they are unusable until mid morning after they dry. The cameras attract bugs, so flying bugs trip motion detection, and the flying bugs attract spiders which hang webs that the cameras detect also as motion. I have set the home point and detection zone numerous times on one camera and it keeps changing its home point orientation by itself. Which then sets the busy street inside the detection zone instead of just my driveway. I have tried re-calibrating the pan-tilt and factory resetting the camera. On the doorbell camera it takes longer than any camera to load live feed, on 1 phone the time delay between a doorbell press and phone alert that someone is at your door isn't too bad, but as soon as you add a 2nd phone to your acct by the time you get the notification the person at your door has already got back in their car and drove off before you get any notification on your phone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to set up, app is easy, cost for storage is very reasonable. Not having to have a hub is a major plus. We have a large property and the previous camera system I was using required a hub and the connectivity was Intermittent and unstable. Quality of picture is great.
