[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Get it. I’ve tried a few different brands. And even tried the Nomadic. This is the perfect size. It looks great in a board room and even better in an airport. You can’t go wrong with TUMI.
The backpack has Lots of compartments. There is a slot for your phone in the back and closes with magnets. Very well made. It got rained on during our trip and the inside stayed dry. The expandable body is convenient and the brown color is pretty as well.
Most versatile bag I've ever owned (and I've owned a LOT of bags)

Just a great, sturdy, stylish bag. Has the navigation feel, but doesn't look like a tech bro bag. The patterning is more subtle than it might look on screen, and it's very handsome and strong looking. Also just very versatile and has awesome well-designed elements like a pocket in the front section that's exactly the right size to securely hold the Alpha passport case (even with two passports inside.)
I travel a lot and just got back from a 3 week mixed business/personal trip. The bag bridged the divide. I attended meetings with it while wearing a suit, but then hiked with it without having to even clean it after. Most versatile bag I've ever owned. If you are looking for the ONE bag, then the navigation is it. And the geometric pattern version is a great option.
Also, the Navigation backpacks seem to vary in design a bit. Some--maybe older ones--don't fit bottles bigger than 12oz. The geometric pattern version fits a 20oz just fine.
This is my second tumi backpack and my 4th tumi bag overall, so I have some experience with the brand. While I love the color way of this bag, I am disappointed in the lack of two way zippers. When you’re spending a significant amount of money on a bag, every opening should have a two way zipper system, not just one. My old tumi bag had two way zippers on it everywhere, and it’s much more convenient. Tumi needs to fix this moving forward, as this is a luxury brand, stop taking shortcuts.
