decent every-day sling

i wanted a nice every-day sling, but i didn’t want to shell out a ton of money from a high-end designer brand only to use it a few times and then have it sit in my closet for the rest of its life. i decided to check out the slings offered from Tumi, which i own quite a few pieces of and are reasonably priced. i found the gregory to be priced pretty-well, from a premium perspective, and i liked how it looked in the pictures. i decided to pull the trigger on one. after trying to out, it is a very nice bag, it is difficult for me to wear it the way it is intended around my body because i am a bit overweight at the moment, so i will just hold it by the strap in my hand. i would say it fits everything i want to carry on my person with the exception of my 11” tablet. i might be able to get away with having it fit by having the case off of the tablet, but i’d rather not use it without one. if i had to nitpick, the gregory is a bit stiff, almost like an actual mini-backpack, but still nice.

At last I’m comfortable

I had many messenger bags, , hand carrying bags for my keys, wallet, and whatever didn’t fit in my jeans, well guess what they are still sitting on top of my closet. I felt too self conscious because to me they felt more lady like. I saw the Gregory Slink in leather and now I’m all in, everything fits in this beautiful leather sling and even better it was on sale. Happy for me.

Limestone color is not tan like the picture, it's grey

The sling is a good quality item, like usual TUMI.
But if you are buying a Limestone color and hoping to get a tan or beige color (like on the picture online) - don't. The one I received was GREY, kind of darker grey. So, sadly, I have to return it.

Excellent bag for keeping books, journals, papers, and mobile phone!

This is the perfect sling bag for when you want to go out with a book or journal, or any miscellaneous small items. It has two loops in the small pocket for pencils or pens. It also has a pocket on the top that closes with a magnetic button, for storing your mobile phone! Because this is made of leather, I wouldn't want to put a plastic water bottle in it, although it would fit. The burnished leather has a nice, deep brown color and smells really nice! I'm concerned I'll scratch it! The back of the bag has a padded mesh (nylon?), which is different than the other Gregory Slings. For example, the cognac leather sling has a leather back. If you don't want to be concerned about damaging/scratching the leather, I would recommend the black nylon sling. Also, the limestone sling's color is more of a gray, not the tan that you see in the product picture (be sure to look at the bag in-person before getting it). All in all, I really like these slings. They're perfect for carrying smaller items!

This is exactly what my husband was looking for for months! I am glad I found it just before Christmas. He love the color, the style, the size, and that is super lightweight! It’s a perfect size for his essentials and more!

Perfect Sling

The color and the bag couldn't be more perfect for what we were looking for! I got this as a gift for my husband because he's always wanted some sort of a sling. Saying he's obsessed might be an understatement. He even googled the best items to put in it and started ordering things just to fill it up LOL.
