[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously had a Fold and ultimately went back to the S24 Ultra. While I loved the concept of a foldable, the narrower front screen was difficult to use comfortably with my larger hands, and the S24 Ultra was simply a great phone.
I chose to give the Fold another shot with the wider front screen on the Z Fold 8, and so far, I’m really glad I did. The wider front screen makes a noticeable difference for everyday use and feels much more natural to type and navigate on.
It has taken some time to get used to the different form factor and switching between the various screen sizes, but I find myself liking it more and more every day. The multitasking is probably one of my favorite features. Being able to have two or even three apps open at the same time makes it much easier to do things like browse the web while texting, check email while referencing another app, or watch something while doing something else. Once you get used to having that extra screen real estate, it’s surprisingly hard to go back to a traditional phone.
There are still some bugs and quirks, particularly with certain apps that haven't been fully optimized for the different screen sizes. Some apps don't always transition perfectly between the front and inner displays, but I expect that will improve as more apps catch up.
Overall, the Z Fold 8 has been a great experience. It’s definitely taken some adjustment, but the more I use it, the more useful I find the larger display and multitasking cap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since the moment I opened the box this has been the best experience with a phone since the first time we could text and watch videos on a phone. Today so much more can be done it is amazing how far we have come. I wish they would get rid of the inner screan camera hole. Not everyone needs 4 5 or 6 cameras on a phone but would prefer the whole screan to use. Just learning how to use ALL the features everyday. I trust samsung and am in the eco system but honestly other companies have some better hardware, for the price Samsung should be leading in ALL area's....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade from the fold7 because of the new passport style design. Even while doing the transfer between old and new device, the fold8 felt very natural and fold7 quickly felt uncomfortable to use, so I won't go back to using a non-folding phone but also probably going to stick with the passport style as well, it feels amazing. The transfer was easy and quick, the phone arrived 3 days earlier than expected and absolutely love it. Worth the upgrade for sure.

The foldable I have been waiting for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So finally one of the big brands come out with a phone that is small in the pocket but is Big when you need it. I've been waiting for so long for a smaller phone just really tired of the big phones that's why I chose the standard Galaxy fold 8.
I haven't tried the cameras yet but I will this coming weekend at a concert so we'll see how that goes but other than that everything else about this phone is amazing.

Extremely nice phone with a few flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I choose the zfold 8 because of the new form factor. It is much better tailored for viewing videos and twitch streams. Most features of the phone are an upgrade from my zfold 5, especially the amazing speakers, however, 2 of the main hiccups for me have been tbe RCS chat transfer (when transferring Esim, you wont be able to text anymore unless you do a very long winded process that doesnt always work) and the lack of the camera notch pixels that previously hid the inner camera. Im not sure why the inner screen needs a camera, it majorly discracts from full screen gaming and videos. I can get used to it though.
