Impressive compact redesign with a few expected tr

Samsung finally solved the pocket-bulk issue—it fits cleanly into dress slacks and suit jackets without weighing them down, and the narrower outer display makes quick, one-handed tasks effortless while on the move. Opening it up still delivers the expansive tablet multitasking experience essential for reviewing documents, split-screening workflows, and managing calls.
A 4-star rating reflects a couple of compromises that come with the slimmer profile:
Typing real estate: The downsized cover screen is noticeably more portable, but long-form messaging requires some adjustment to avoid accidental keystrokes.
Battery life: Powering the dual displays on heavy workdays—especially with split-screen apps and video calls—means you will likely need a mid-afternoon top-up.
Camera hardware: Good for everyday point-and-shoot and document scanning, but long-range zoom clarity takes a backseat compared to Samsung’s larger Ultra lineup.
Overall, it is a masterclass in hardware miniaturization and a fantastic daily productivity driver if portability is your top priority.

A beautiful device crippled by optimization issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i really like the z fold 8. But its held back by a few issues.
1. Camera optimization. The default camera is horrible if not in perfect lighting. However the pro camera on default settings automatically works superior without changing anything. Default needs to match
2 aspect ratio issues. If i have my keyboard overlap another textbox i am going to scream. This is an issue on youtube when searching your history, reddit, and in some cases reading apps. You are forced to open the device and use it portrait to see things. This shouldnt be the case. I should be able to use this phone closed and opened wide. But i am not surprised because you guys still havent fixed the issues with the tab s ultra.exact same issues. I think these are my last samsung products moving forward.

Loving this Z-Fold!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Samsung Z Fold8 when we switched carriers because I love that you can double your screen size. I use my phone for a lot of photo restoration and editing. I LOVE it so far! Set up was quick and easy. The fingerprint scanner being on the side (same button as power button) is a GAME CHANGER! Unlocking is so much easier, no checking your screen to make sure you've got the icon covered. I haven't explored all the amazing options yet but what I have found is pretty cool! Can't wait to see what else I discover!

Game changing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so glad that I switched back to Samsung with the Zfold8. This phone is by far the best technology I have purchased in the last 10 years. Everytime I pick it up and turn it on I get excited to use it. The form factor on the outside display alone is what made me chose this phone. Perfect aspect ratio. I look at other phones now and they all seem uncomfortably long.
Media consumption on this phone is premium. Being able to view it on the outside display and with a quick open to a larger display is truly game changing. I love this device and will be sticking with samsung phones for now on.

The Perfect Size and Shape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade from my previous folding phone because I knew I'd love this aspect ratio. It's a small compact phone when needed and a tablet when not. It's light enough weight to make using both modes so incredibly enjoyable. I actually end up using both screens all the time! Opened up is incredible for gaming. On such a thin device the thing is unreal. For video it's fantastic too. The big screen in my hands or propping up the small screen with it flexed part way open. It's so versatile. The matte coating is a huge upgrade too making the hinge hard to see at all. I'm incredibly happy with the Z Fold 8. I like how you can buy multiple case colors too and mix and match!
