Glad I Switched

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. I've been a Note/S series Ultra user since the Note 5 (Note 7-which I loved, Note 8, Note 20, S24 Ultra). I tried the S26 Ultra out and while it was great, I ultimately went with the Fold. Battery life is excellent, I've yet to have below 15% battery at the end of the day.
The larger screen format allows for much better multitasking environment creating a more efficient workflow. I appreciate the updated UI and many options for all screens.
The form factor and usage when folded took a bit to get used to but ultimately I prefer the Fold over a standard "candy bar" style phone. I know what tasks I need to open it for and that operation is flawless.
Glad I Switched.

The best Fold yet

Very pleased overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I came from the S22 Ultra, and I chose the Z Fold 8 Ultra for the extra RAM and storage for media/gaming. This is my first foldable screen device, so I wanted to reinforced screen layers. The small wave down the fold line is not as visible as other say while media is playing, but for apps in dark mode, it can be somewhat distracting.
So far, I am really enjoying the capabilities of the device. Exploring how my regular apps adapt to the inner screen has been mostly smooth, with only a few having issues after a fresh launch. I do wish that open apps would transfer from the outer to inner screen without needing a relaunch.
An example of one of my main complaints is with Bluetooth connections not dropping after the paired device is off and should no longer be connected. There are many little things like this that I expect to be ironed out with further updates to the system.
My biggest complaint is the size of the camera lens island. The phone NEVER lays flat, and there aren't really any reasonably priced cases to deal with this issue. I would have gladly taken a few mm thicker device for my phone to be able to lay flat with the outer screen facing upwards.

This is a great product but

If you’ve noticed that the memory is slowing down or not functioning properly, consider disabling the RAM Plus feature. This will force the phone to rely solely on its ultra-fast physical RAM, which can enhance the user interface. Here are the steps to turn off RAM Plus:
1. Open the Settings app and navigate to Device Care.
2. Tap on Memory.
3. Scroll to the bottom and select RAM Plus.
4. Toggle the switch at the top to turn it completely off.
5. Tap Restart when prompted to apply the changes.
If your Fold 8 Ultra still feels sluggish after turning off RAM Plus, check for thermal throttling. The Z Fold 8 Ultra's processor can run very hot, especially when charging the phone or using Android Auto at the same time. When overheating occurs, the device intentionally slows down to cool itself, which can mimic a RAM shortage.
If disabling RAM Plus improves performance, or if you notice sluggishness mainly when the phone is plugged in or warming up, please reach out to our Samsung Support Team for further assistance. Loving the new Z Fold 8 Ultra

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously owned the Z Fold 5 and I can tell you that the new Z Fold 8 Ultra is in a class of it's own. The size of the outer screen puts it on par with most non-foldable phones, but the reduction in weight and thickness is the real win. Pair all of that with the increased battery performance and the reduced crease when opened, and you truly have a phone that is versatile enough to tackle any need.
I'm glad I chose to upgrade to the Z Fold 8 Ultra and even paired it with the new Galaxy Buds4 Pro.

Next level technology

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Z Fold Ultra 8 Ultra for its technological advancement such as Samsung's longstanding innovation with the fold out screen, 200 MP camera, and advanced AI technology such as image enhancement and live translation.
When fully opened, the crease is invisible. When folded, the Z Fold 8 is slightly thicker than a regular cell phone, a great feature for someone like me who typically carries his cell phone in his front pocket.
The integration of live translation through the Samsung ear buds is a game changer for an avid traveler like myself.
Coworkers' and friends' curiosity and accolades validates my choice in choosing the Z Fold 8 Ultra as my new cell phone update. Thanks Samsung for such a great product.

Hands down, this is my daily powerhouse!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade my ZFold6 to the ZFold8Ultra (pre-order) simply because Samsung has been a very solid manufacturer for many years, their products are always innovating, and because no other company provides a powerful and seamless UI or Launcher. Besides this, there are other aspects such as the ZFold8Ultra weight, size, battery, Samsung Flow, Samsung Cloud, Link to Windows, and of course Samsung Dex, which is what I use paired with a Lapdock, not needing a full laptop, very lightweight, which is also a 10000MA battery to charge my phone. Those features are just a few to name. The AI features are very useful to my social media work and my Real Estate business, and even the interaction with cloud services such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 suite of apps are the best, or 2nd to none. Perhaps it is too technical to the general population, but when I say my 'powerhouse', I really mean it. There is no other mobile device that I would put my money into other than Samsung. Thanks Samsung for keeping up with our needs.
