[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After struggling between options, I chose the z fold 8 ultra over the standard fold eight and I could not be any happier. This device is everything I wanted in a foldable. Uncompromised front screen experience, premium unfolded experience with plenty of screen space for tiling multiple apps or consuming media. You can't go wrong with either, but for my use case the ultra has been exactly what I'm looking for.

A bigger upgrade than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from the Fold 6 to the Fold 8 Ultra. This upgrade is more than what I expected in every way possible. Both screens are much bigger and seem more vibrant while being much thinner than my old Fold 6, the battery life is noticeably increased, the pictures are much improved, and the speed is impressive. I chose the 8 Ultra over the stand Fold 8 (wide) for the pictures and familiar form factor but I would understand the benefits of the other version.

I chose this device because I wanted a bigger screen for watching shows, movies, and videos without always needing to bring out my laptop. The foldable display makes everyday use feel more comfortable, especially when I am relaxing, eating, or multitasking. Apps feel smooth and quick, and the larger screen makes reading, watching content, and switching between tasks much better than a regular phone. I also like how customizable the phone is, from the home screen layout to the different ways I can use the cover screen and main display. So far, the fold feature is my favorite part because it makes the phone feel useful in more situations.
