Exactly the Phone I Was Looking For

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra because I wanted a phone that could give me the convenience of a normal smartphone while still offering the extra screen space of a tablet when I needed it. So far, it has been exactly what I was hoping for.
The overall size feels perfect. It is comfortable to use folded, but opening it up gives you a huge amount of usable screen space without feeling awkward or oversized. Both displays are sharp, bright, and crisp, with excellent detail and colors that really stand out.
One small detail that I really appreciate is the fingerprint scanner being built into the power button. That is exactly where it should be. It feels natural, it is easy to reach, and unlocking the phone becomes almost effortless because my finger is already in the right position when I pick it up.
The larger display also makes multitasking much more practical than on a traditional phone. Being able to have multiple apps open and actually have enough room to use them comfortably is one of those features that quickly becomes hard to give up.
The only things that would make this phone better are a stylus and a microSD slot.
Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase. The size is just right, the displays are beautiful, the design feels well thought out, and the fingerprint scanner placement is perfect. This phone feels like a premium device that takes advantage of its unique form factor rather than being different just for the sake of being different.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was blown away when I unfolded to the main screen for the first time. Streaming movies and shows are absolutely incredible and my gaming experience has definitely been elevated. So glad I chose to upgrade to this phone!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone is great and allows me to be productive with the large folding screen. Media content looks amazing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This device has superb screen resolution. No screen lags when browsing. You tube videos are so clear. Form factor is excellent, especially when multiple windows are open side by side. Bigger screen is better when reading documents. Love it🤩
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the new Fold 8 Ultra because of its speed, enhanced battery, amazing cameras and thecAI integration.
Work, play, personal finance, entertainment, etc - it does it all.
The screens are amazing and the integration with Droid is amazing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Fold 8 Ultra originally for the hybrid silicon carbide battery. I came from a Fold 5 and it was fine, but that battery was only lasting 4-6 hours. This new Folds endurance is pretty remarkable. Now, grain of salt since it's also a new battery, but under heavy media consumption over a 10 hour period I barely dipped below 80 percent. Amazing.
The form factor is a bit mixed for me. Being so thin is also amazing, however I do miss the bit narrower cover display of the Fold 5. It felt more manageable in one hand, I know this is an outlier in the community since everyone wants to go bigger. Also that camera module... how is it so big and not using the current flag ship cameras? Why keep this design? If the stack was horizontal or centered to the single back panel they'd get rid of that ridiculous rocking of using the device from a desk.
The crease is also very good, comparable or better than the oppo find N6.
Opening one handed is nearly impossible. I know that was mentioned in the sales material, when compared to my Fold 5, its no contenst the Fold 8 just is too thin.
This is an early impression, so time will tell if it can survive like the Fold 5 did, but so far it's a massive upgrade, even if I did give up my S pen.
Last gripe I have is the cases. With a phone this thin and delicate, how are they not making cases to cover the entire device? Yes, a front cover would add thickness, but it also stops you from destroying the front screen.
