[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I choose to get the Z Fold 8 Ultra after having the Note 20 Ultra fire many years. So far it's really good. I've only had problems with transitioning from one drive to Google for storage, Ababa the keyboard isn't as accurate or "smart" as I'd like it to be. I think my other phone just got very used to my keystrokes. Other than that, it's very smooth. The new features are still being explored.

Z Fold 8 Ultra, One device to rule them all.

I can never go back to a regular smart phone, the versatility of the screens, multi app modes, the ease of use and pure bliss of these phones will forever hold a grip over me. The z fold 8 is almost the same width as my wife's s26 ultra but with an entire tablet hidden inside. NOTHING compares, just do it if you are on the fence!

Easiest ever to migrate from previous phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the z fold 8 ultra because my wife wanted my z fold 7. In the past to migrate my phones I needed a cable or wifi. Thos time with just a few key strikes the two phones found each other and migrated fast. Then I migrated my wife's old phone to my old fold 7 and voila it worked. Now she is happy and I'm happy to get the fold 8. It's not much different from my fold 7, which I loved but it is faster. I love the big inner screen, which is why my wife wanted my fold 7.

Incremental Improvements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually buy a new phone every year and take advantage of Samsung's special trade-in offers when new models are released. As successor to my Z Fold 7 from last year, I considered the S26 Ultra, Z Fold 8, and Z Fold 8 Ultra. In the end I chose the Z Fold 8 Ultra as most natural successor to the Z Fold 7. It is not much different, but the bigger battery and higher charging speeds are highly appreciated, as well as some improvements to the cameras and the hinge. I am still impressed with slim-ness of the latest folding phones, but at the same time disappointed with the elimination of S Pen functionalities, the punchhole selfie camera that used to be a more advanced under-display camera for a few Z Fold generations, and the fact that the Z Fold phones do not get the most powerful telephoto lenses of the S Ultra phones. These items are on my wish list for the next generation. Furthermore, if there can be a phone with all the features of the Fold Ultra, but the shorter and wider shape of the new Fold 8, I will switch to that model. I think its aspect ratios, open and closed, make a lot more sense than those of the Fold 7 and Fold 8 Ultra.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 continues to be excellent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra because I like all the features it comes with. I've been a loyal Samsung user since the original Galaxy Note release and the Z Fold series allows me to continue multitasking in various ways without having to get a separate tablet device. I match it with my Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The updates to One UI has streamlined my multitasking even more. I love how smooth and intuitive the device is. On top of that this new iteration is so thin I was amazed that when I took it out of the box. The setup is still amazingly streamlined and only to gets better. Transferring all my information form my old device to the new one was extremely easy.
All that combined with Samsung having the best trade in offers for previous Samsung phones make it the perfect choice. I've already told coworkers at work about it and one other purchased the Z Fold 8 Ultra and another purchased the Z Fold 8. Keep up the amazing work that you do and thank you for creating an amazing product.

Samsung Z Fold 8 Ultra is a BEAST!

Coming directly from a Samsung S25 Ultra, I was a bit hesitant about making the switch, but the setup and data transfer process via Smart Switch was so seamless it took almost no effort at all. Everything from my layout to my apps carried over effortlessly.
The first thing that hits you when you hold this device is just how surprisingly slim and incredibly light it feels in the hand. For a foldable, the build engineering is remarkable; it doesn't feel bulky in a pocket whatsoever.
Performance-wise, the processing speed is lightning fast. Whether I’m multitasking across multiple open windows, switching between heavy applications, or working on complex tasks, there isn't a hint of lag. The display is vibrant, crisp, and standard-setting for bright, immersive viewing—unfolding that screen still feels like magic every single time.
The camera setup takes awesome, detailed pictures with exceptional clarity and rich colors in every lighting condition, easily matching the high expectations set by my previous Ultra series devices. On top of that, pairing it with my first Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 has completely streamlined my daily routine and tracking. The ecosystem integration between the watch and phone is flawless.
