[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a flip fan since it came out and Ichose to wait for this phone as my upgrade for all the new features and design. To start the design is great, the new features phenomenal. The Battery, well it sucks. I set up the phone and turned off all the addition stuff I don't normally use. Then I set up the power saving mode. Finally I'm not a huge user of apps just basic stuff. Im an older person so I'm not on tiktok/Insta/or any of the other social media. I play one game. My previous phone the flip 4 i would easily get 4 days out of the battery with regular use. This one im getting just over 2 at best. I can literally go to bed with it at 100% battery and wake up with it between 85 and 88% left. I guess the new AI features are eating up the battery but I dont even really use that. I have figured out how to fully turn that off to see if the battery life improves or not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 as an upgrade to my Flip 6. I'm impressed with the new size and weight of the Flip 8. The camera is definitely an upgrade as well. Using it for media creation and work, makes the Flip 8 easy yo use and transport.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy that I chose to switch to the Z Flip 8 after my Motorola RAZR screen simply broke within 2 years of ownership. The operating system and user interface is a better experience overall and phone/screen feel more robust overall. Looking forward to a foldable phone that lasts.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I love this phone. Camera is great. The front cover screen is an awesome feature. I switched from S series to the Flip series.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to get the Samsung Z flip 8 because I honestly wanted a phone that could do more than the average. Everyday I enjoy using the cover screen to maximize my productivity, and the feeling of closing the phone is so pleasantly nostalgic! I was in love with this phone after the first few days of use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this phone because I liked all the features on it! being with the s series for majority of my life ( i started with the s5) and now switching to a flip phone! everything is well so far and i love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll admit I went in skeptical. Coming from the Flip 7, I figured this would be a "nice to have but not necessary" upgrade, and on paper, that's kind of true. Same camera setup, same battery capacity. But then I actually started using the cover screen day to day, and that's what won me over.
The FlexWindow on the Flip8 finally feels like a real screen instead of a glorified notification bar. I'm running a full 16 apps on it without needing to mess with Good Lock or any workarounds, it just works out of the box. Google Maps on the cover screen has honestly changed how I use the phone; I don't even bother opening it up half the time when I just need directions or to check a message. That alone makes it feel like a different phone from my old Flip 7, even though the spec sheet says otherwise.
It's also noticeably snappier, the new chip makes everything feel more responsive, and the brighter display is a nice bonus when I'm outside. Battery gets me through a full day without drama, which is really all I ask.
Yes, the price bump stings a little, and I get why people coming from a Flip 7 might not think it's worth the jump. But for me, the cover screen alone justified it. It's the first time a Flip's second screen has actually felt like the main event instead of a party trick.
Bottom line: Love it. If you live on your cover screen the way I do, this upgrade is worth it, even coming from last year's model.
