[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the z-fold flip because I felt the size of the phone was much easier to carry than the z-fold which I previously bought as well. It was very easy to transfer my information from my Samsung Galaxy s26 to the new flip 8. My husband really appreciated the model and is going to get an upgrade as well. I wish that the pictures did look better or clearer on this phone and I have a hard time pressing keys on the keyboard I am assuming because of the gorilla glass is thick and doesn't recognize I have to tap more than once. I Googled to see if anyone else had the same issues and Samsung recommended to change the settings to make it easier but that has not fixed the issue. Overall I am very happy with this phone I got a good deal sending in my s26 and hope that in the future they improve the camera. Lucky for me I am not a blogger.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from the Flip5 to the Flip8 and I'm glad I chose to! It feels like an intuitive evolution that makes my phone look nicer, run faster, and customize better. If your phone is a few years old, it is worth the upgrade.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my 4th Samsung phone, S10, Note 20. Z flip 5, and now zflip 8. I really love the Zflip series. I like the minimalist feature of the Z flip series but moving to the new 8 series was a great move. I chose this phone because of the upgrades. I noticed right away when I turned on the phone the screen was much brighter and clearer. The new Snapdragon chip is the icing on the cake. This phone is fast and fits my everyday tasks and works well with my business and personal tasks.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the zflip 8 because of its thinner size. I use this phone mainly for work, but screen is ok for watching shows as well. The crease is less noticable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z Flip8 mainly because of its compact folding design, and in that area it is excellent. The phone is easy to carry, the displays look great, performance is smooth, and the overall build feels premium.
Unfortunately, my biggest concern is Wi-Fi reception and stability. I compared the Flip8 directly with my older Samsung phone in the exact same location and on the same Wi-Fi network. My older phone could maintain a normal Wi-Fi 6 connection, while the Flip8 showed noticeably weaker reception and sometimes lost Wi-Fi completely. When I moved the Flip8 closer to the router, the Wi-Fi 6 connection returned to normal.
This happened repeatedly over several days of use, so it was difficult to blame my router or internet service. For a premium phone, reliable Wi-Fi is a basic requirement, and I should not have to stay unusually close to the router to maintain a stable connection.
The camera and battery life are acceptable, but neither feels exceptional for this price range. I really like the compact design and wanted to keep the phone, but the Wi-Fi reliability issue is too important for me to overlook.
Overall, I give the Galaxy Z Flip8 3 out of 5 stars: excellent design and portability, but disappointing wireless reliability.
