The unit replaced a Sirrius island hood. Installation went well with a little help lifting everything in place. The fan is so noisy that the chief cannot hear conversation and the vibration is annoying. All else is great, do wish it had remote control for shorter cooks.

I am extremely happy with my ZLINE Remote Blower Island Range Hood (GL2i-R), the installation was simple with the exception of having to cut down the mounting brackets so that it was at the right height for my 8' ceiling and not blocking the line of sight. This hood looks amazing, is quiet enough to have conversations on its highest setting, and clears the smoke of a well seared steak with no problem! The only reason for the 4 stars is that it was not a great design for installation at an 8' ceiling.

Range Hood lights have never worked

I purchased a range hood and soon after install the lights stopped working and a few months later the vent stopped working.

I bought this product earlier this year, my kitchen was slightly outdated and had a vintage venthood attached to a cabinet. By removing that venthood and adding this product it opened the space up and updated it. I added the short kit feature, it helped with the low ceilings. To be honest I would prefer to go shorter.
