Great upgrade to already great watch

I chose the Ultra2 because of its stylish design and recent advancements in technology and battery life upgrades. As a first time smart watch owner, I am impressed with its design and functionality. An absolute dime of a smartwatch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the OG Watch Ultra. Then I moved to the Pixel Watch 4. After seeing this watch announced, I knew I was coming back to the Galaxy Watch series. I chose this watch over the other because it now does just about everything the Pixel did, but better. Raise to talk to Gemini works so much better on the Ultra2. It feels snappy and looks amazing. The talk to text also seems a good bit more accurate.
My ONLY single issue is that the sensors on this just don't seem to want to play well with my tattoos. It seems that they are way more sensitive than the OG Ultra and far more than the Pixel watch 4. If Samsung could get this thing to work at least as well with my tattoos as the Pixel 4 watch or even the OG Galaxy Watch Ultra, this would be my perfect device.
Don't get me wrong. It works with my tattoos that are around my wrist, but the clearance is tight and if it literally moves 1mm, it locks and sleep stats don't come through from when it locks. I had a bit more leadway with the OG Ultra and PW4. I work around it by latching the band to my wrist but, that isn't too comfortable for extended periods - especially while sleeping.

The Rotating Bezel Makes This My Favorite Galaxy W

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Watch8 Classic combines the best parts of a traditional watch with everything I want from a modern smartwatch. The design feels premium and substantial, and I'm very happy Samsung kept the physical rotating bezel. It's still one of the best ways to navigate a smartwatch, especially when exercising or when I don't want to constantly touch the display.
The screen is bright, sharp, and easy to read outdoors. Performance is smooth and responsive, whether I'm checking notifications, navigating with Maps, controlling music, or tracking workouts.
Samsung Health continues to be one of the strongest parts of the experience. Sleep, activity, heart rate, workouts, and other wellness information are presented in one place, and integration with my other Galaxy devices is excellent.
I also appreciate that the Classic looks more like a conventional watch than many fitness-focused wearables. I can wear it while exercising and then keep it on with more formal clothing without it looking out of place.
Battery life is good, although this is still an area where I'd like to see Samsung make larger improvements. LTE and heavier GPS use can drain it considerably faster.
Overall, the Watch8 Classic is an excellent balance of design, smartwatch functionality, and fitness features. If you appreciate a traditional watch aesthetic and Samsung's physical rotating bezel, this is the Galaxy Watch I'd choose.
