[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved my original Galaxy Ultra Watch, this Ultra 2 just makes something great, even better! Love the battery life, screen brightness, and overall look with the slightest changes in the bezel and screen ratio. It's crazy fast for a watch and responds quickly. Great features with the sensor package it brings too. I'm using it to try and see what was up with my sleep patterns! If you're on the fence, just go for it, you won't regret it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a handful of smart watches over the years and until recently, I had the Galaxy 6 Classic on my wrist, waiting for the next right choice. I chose the Ultra2 to be that leap and what a leap it was!
The fit and finish of the watch is exceptional. The brushed titanium with a polished edge is strikingly perfect. I have dozens of analog watches that have a similar effect but there is always small mistakes. This seems like a small thing and it is but the detail here is an example of the overall precision of the watch's construction.
The screen is very bright and highly detailed thanks to its AMOLED tech and the responsiveness to touch is a big upgrade.
The processor in this watch is nuts. The speed to boot, scroll, and open apps is amazing. The added horsepower equals faster biometric processing and more storage for apps and Spotify playlists.
I exercise, swim, and dive a fair bit and the 6 Classic held up okay but it did get a bit buggy underwater and the rotating bezel got crunchy over time. I've always been a bit hesitant with it but the Ultra2 is dive certified leaving me with zero concerns in that camp. The new UI is fantastic and the Health options are much deeper.
I do wish the vegan leather magnetic clamp watch band was still an option but I do like the similar strap option with the buckle. Another small detail but the buckle is very well designed. Particularly the low profile yet wide pin that stays out of the way when on.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is a frustrating release because it offers almost nothing new for most people while introducing a few surprising inconveniences. The watch is slightly thinner, and the battery life is better, but beyond that the upgrade feels hollow unless you genuinely need the expanded diving features. One of the biggest complaints from myself and a lot of owners is charging compatibility. If you own a 3-in-1 magnetic charger, the odds are high it will not charge the Ultra2, and Samsung currently does not list any Ultra2 specific chargers for sale. Reddit users have been extremely vocal about this, reporting that their existing chargers simply do not register the device at all.
The new Marine band has also drawn criticism. It costs more than previous bands yet feels cheaper, thinner and allows the watch to shift around more on the wrist. Thankfully older bands still fit, and many users say sticking with those gives a better experience than the new one. The Ultra2 ends up feeling like a minor refresh sold at a premium price. Unless you are planning to go diving, there is almost no practical reason to upgrade.

Response from Samsung USBy R&R Team, August 10, 2026
Hey DazzzaUK, Thank you for taking the time to share your constructive feedback with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2. The new Galaxy Watch Ultra2 improves over its predecessor with a 35% larger battery (800 mAh), a brighter 5,000-nit display, a slimmer titanium case, and a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite processor. It also introduces new trail running and EN13319 ocean diving capabilities. Charging your Galaxy Watch Ultra2 on a multi-device or flat wireless pad can be tricky due to the specific size, rear contour, and alignment requirements of the Ultra models. If your device fails to register while charging, the coil alignment might be off due to the thick chassis of the Ultra 2. Adjust its physical position on the pad. Be sure to confirm that your device is charging properly before leaving it unattended on its charger. Remove your watch band if it prevents your device from sitting flat on your charging surface. Also, please make sure that your 3-in-1 station is plugged into a high-output USB-PD power adapter (such as a 25W or 30W brick) rather than a standard low-power USB port. If a multi-device stand refuses to recognize the watch consistently, you may need to rely on the dedicated puck cable that came inside the official box. Hope that helps! Also, check out the Trail or Peakform watch bands, if the Marine band is not living up to your expectations. If you would like to share any other feedback with us or if you would like further assistance, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose (well kind of chose for me) the ultra 2 for battery life and performance. I have been a Samsung watch where since 2016 with the Gear 2 in 2022 I upgraded to the Pro 5 both were phenomenal watches. I have watched upgrades every year when new releases come out I was ecstatic watching the ultra 2 but decided for the price I was going to stick with my current watch, fate had it another way in the same day of the launch my watch ended up in the ocean. I ended up biting the bullet and purchasing the watch I've only had it for a few days but I love it it is by far the most comfortable Samsung watch I have owned the screen size and brightness are amazing. I would never go back at this point and I am hopeful this is another four plus year watch for me to wear. Awesome design Samsung I chose well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this watch because it was my turn to upgrade. The watch is larger but very lightweight and I love the infrared night color on the screen.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade from my Galaxy Watch Ultra to the new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. I have become a dedicated Samsung user and my Watch pairs seamlessly with my Samsung phone. Switching to my new Ultra 2 was easy, as the set up process brought all my apps and settings over. I am only now learning all the new functions. The brighter screen is wonderful and really makes a difference. I can already tell that this Watch is faster than my 1st generation Ultra. I am excited about the enhanced health and activity tracking. I was very happy with my 1st generation Ultra and this Ultra 2 is already proving it was a worthwhile upgrade.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to buy this watch for two reasons, and I can say I more than love the watch.
1. Its the 2nd version of the Ultra series (I know there was a Watch Ultra 2025), but this being the 2nd (or I guess 3rd) model means Samsung has had time to perfect design and hardware. The watch feels premium and it is. The watch looks beautiful and simple.
2. Samsung has added new features such as a dive depth of upto 40 meters (130 or so ft) which makes swimming, even in an ocean, not worry me of breaking my watch.
Anyway. If you can snag a good trade-in discount on the watch and want an Ultra, get it. If your an active person, or want something to tempt you into being more active (my reason for buying this watch), get it.
