Not so great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to purchase the new Galaxy 9 watch because I was told it would work seamlessly to track my data that my smart ring was missing, and that it would have excellent battery compared to previous models, and that it had the best automatic swim detection as that is my main regular daily exercise. None of that appears to be true. It doesn't recognize a lot of water time as swimming or exercise even tho it does know to turn on the water lock, it doesn't charge at the advertised speeds and it overheats and stops charging on its original charger, it is NOT compatible with ANY other charger including the ones Samsung sells and there seems to be no way to get a replacement or extra charger, the battery dies in less than a day even with features turned off that I don't want to have to turn off to have it work. Very disappointed in these issues.

Howdy OlRazzleDazzle,
Thank you for taking the opportunity to share your thoughts with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch9. Your candor is invaluable to us as we continue to innovate while improving our product line. When you do an impromptu workout, you may forget to activate an exercise tracker on your smart watch or fitness band. To fix this, just turn on automatic workout detection. It will automatically start recording your exercise data when you start working out. To fix slow charging on your Galaxy Watch9, use a compatible 10W (5V/2A) or higher USB Power Delivery (PD) wall adapter with your official magnetic charging cradle. The Galaxy Watch9 is offered in two versions: 40mm with a 390 mAh battery and 44mm with 445 mAh battery. The higher capacity versions allow your Galaxy Watch9 to require less frequency in charging. This means you can keep the Watch powered throughout the day with minimal downtime. While you're using your Galaxy Watch9 without enabling AOD, you should expect to receive about 40 hours of usage time. Up to 30 hours if you're utilizing AOD! It can take some time for your new Galaxy Watch9 to finish background indexing, learning your daily habits, and settling into its normal, optimized battery life. You're able to fix battery drain, by disabling Always-On Display (AOD), turning off continuous background health checks, and restarting your watch. If you're experiencing less than anticipated battery life on your new device, please take a moment to check out the resources provided below to help resolve what you have described to be experiencing. If you have any questions for us or if you would like further assistance afterward, please let us know by contacting Samsung Support. Thank you for being a loyal Samsung customer.

Waited so long!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I literally waited for months to finally get my new Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and I can say it was worth it. I was going to get the last model but with switching cell providers it was cheaper if I got this one so naturally I CHOSE it! I've only had it for about a week and so far I really like it. My last one was the 4 so yea a big difference....in a good way. The only thing I'm not crazy about is it seems so much bigger even though it's still 40mm. I guess due to the part around the Watch. I can't wait to get new bands for it to customize.

What a Difference!!
on September 7, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a difference the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 isoo much more efficient than the Google Pixil watch!!
While the charging g of my Watch 9 is a little slower than the Pixil, it still charges fairly quickly and stays charged for quite a while after the initial first few days of the Watch learning how I use the Watch.
I use the Watch9 primarily for monitoring my Health, especially my vitals and heart rate.
The only complaint is the size of the print for initial set up!
Way too small. Other than that I'm loving it greatly!!
Yes, it is truly a big difference!!

Great upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from the watch 5 and immediate felt the difference in performance and speed. I bought the lte version because there are times where I forget or dont want to bring my phone. I like the new functions it has like for example the sleep apmia detection, or how much I slept or how much energy I have. I also enjoy that I can have 15 pictures for my back ground just tap the screen and the picture changes. The added Ai function is amazing to. Over all im very pleased with my upgrade.

Galaxy Watch 9
on September 7, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice looking watch!
I traded my Galaxy Watch 7 for this one hoping the battery would be better and would last longer. Well, it's been three weeks since I got it and I'm already disappointed with its battery.
My daily activities have not changed, no excessive workouts, and after a full 100% charge the previous evening, 17 hrs later the battery drops to barely 20%. It won't last 24 hrs without a new charge. I didn't have that problem with the Watch 7.
If the issue persists, I'll have to reach out to Samsung support or send it back to them.

Very similar to my old watch 8 but works better
on September 7, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had just about every model of the Galaxy Watch since they first started the new Galaxy Watch 9 definitely works better in a snappier, even though it essentially does the same things. It just doesn't instantly, and it seems like all the sensors are much more responsive. The only thing I'm disappointed is the battery life. Even with a 20% larger battery the battery life worse than the watch 8. I have to charge it usually twice a day.

Sleek and functional
on September 7, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Choosing out of all the Samsung watches to go with my phone was definitely a challenge. I chose the Watch9 for its size and functionality. I have small wrists so I need a watch that wouldn't look too bulky on me and still have a very sleek and modern look. The Watch9 does exactly that while being super easy to use and being able to track all my health needs.
