Galaxy Watch 9 upgrade from 6

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade my Watch 6 to a Watch 9 because I was experiencing a short battery life with my old watch and it would constantly disconnect from my phone despite being right next to it. I've only ever owned Samsung Smart watches. I was frustrated to discover upon receiving the watch that 1) the old watch chargers aren't compatible. 2) the old watch straps aren't compatible. I've since had to purchase an adapter so I can use all of the other types of watch straps I've purchased over the years for my past watches.
I've worn the 9 for a few days now. I'm not super impressed with battery life. I'm not sure the extra silver area around the watch face is necessary and miss just the round size/shape of the 6. It has done a better job of staying connected to my phone. The set up process was frustrating and had to restart it several times.
I like the watch strap that I got with it (misty sport band) and I like the ability to take my blood pressure with the watch. The different watch face options are nice. If Samsung Wallet is installed, you must have a pin set on the watch, which is a nice safety feature but not something I'm going to use. TBD if I end up liking this better than I did with the 6 when it came out. I know the new features are supposed to be great but I hesitate to introduce AI and all that it would have access to so I am not utilizing those functions as of now.

The high-efficiency Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite platform greatly boosts your device speed and fluidity. Outdoor visibility has vastly improved, reaching up to 3,000 nits compared to the Galaxy Watch 6's 2,000 nits. The Galaxy Watch9 40mm version has a 390 mAh battery while the 44mm version offers a 445 mAh battery. The higher capacity allows your Galaxy Watch9 to require less frequency in charging. This means you can keep the Watch powered throughout the day with minimal downtime. While you're using your Galaxy Watch9 without enabling AOD, you should expect to receive about 40 hours of usage time. Up to 30 hours if you're utilizing AOD! The Galaxy Watch9 utilizes a proprietary charging layout and a deeper internal sensor stack. Almost perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the watch 9 in 40mm because of the lightweight form factor. You go early forget you're even wearing it. The new UI is honestly super clean and elegant.BUT the battery is it's only downfall. Unfortunately It only last a day and a half at best.

LOVE my new watch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had almost all of the Galaxy watches, and I love how thin and lightweight this latest version is! I chose this watch because of the size of the screen, I can read my text messages even without my glasses on. All of the great features that are seamlessly integrated to work with my Fold 8Ultra makes the combo just perfect - and I use the healh information to adjust my exercise and sleep habits to feel better daily. Try this watch out, you won't be disappointed!
