I traded in my galaxy watch 8 due to the promise of better battery life. I've had my watch for about a week and need to charge it in the morning and before sleeping. I changed all of my settings for better battery usage. I bought this because of all that it offers but if I can't last a day I'm not sure it's worth it. Very disappointed. It's a good watch that has many solid and useful features. I hope this major issue can be resolved.

Aloha Geri, Thanks for taking the opportunity to reach out and share your insights with us regarding your recent experience using the new Samsung Galaxy Watch9. Your feedback is appreciated as we continue to innovate while making improvements on our product line to suit the needs of our customers. Samsung offers a 12-month warranty on your Watch9 for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. The Galaxy Watch9 is offered in two versions: 40mm with a 390 mAh battery and 44mm with 445 mAh battery. The higher capacity versions allow your Galaxy Watch9 to require less frequency in charging. This means you can keep the Watch powered throughout the day with minimal downtime. While you're using your Galaxy Watch9 without enabling AOD, you should expect to receive about 40 hours of usage time. Up to 30 hours if you're utilizing AOD! Since your Galaxy Watch9 is brand new, your device is still indexing at the moment, syncing apps, and calibrating to your usage patterns. To fix immediate battery drain, you can disable Always-On Display (AOD), turn off continuous background health checks, and restart your watch. Please take a look at the resources shared below to help resolve what you've described to be experiencing. Feel free to contact Samsung Support afterward if you would like additional assistance. Thank you for being an integral part of the Samsung community! - Debra

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought the watch I chose for my birthday and I love it. I'm recuperating from a surgery and needed to measure my health better. I can wear it while I sleep, to count my steps and change the face to match my exercise outfit for motivation. This is my favorite Samsung watch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the galaxy watch 9 40 mm for my wife. The screen is much brighter and lasts significantly longer than her galaxy watch 7.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this galaxy watch 9 because I had had 5 and 7 before which I was very pleased with. This new version has extra crisp screens and is able to do more with your health statistics than before. I have always used Samsung products and found them to be very reliable and long-lasting. This particular watch charges quickly and less much longer than the previous watches. I also like the bands that are available for these watches and shows a cream one for this new watch.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade from the Galaxy Watch 8 because of the new chip and enhanced health features. I am happy with my decision. I am still learning how to interact with the health features but I am happy with my purchase. I feel like with each generation the gallaxy warch gets better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade from the Galaxy Watch 8. Although it was incremental upgrades, I took the chance. I lokenthe new monitoring features and the use of AI. The watch was pretty much identical in appearance to the Galaxy Watch 8 which I liked. However the only down side was I did accidently drop the watch from about 3 feet and noticed it dented the housing fairly easily. I thought a fall from that high wouldnt have cause such damage. It was my fault as I took off the watch and placed it on a counter top but the velcro on the band got stuck to my sleeve and when I pulled away the watch fell. Thought it would take more to dent the housing but I was wrong. Otherwise it still functions as it should. The other down side is my Galaxy watch 6 charger didnt work on the watch 9. It says it isn't supported. I thought it wouod still work since it worked on my watch 8 (in slow charging mode) but it didnt. Overall still a great watch.
