[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ion curl worked alright but often it would only curl part of my hair. I also had some difficulty getting curls on the right side of my hair (and I used the right barrel). When the curls came out they were great. I think it’s probably good for a few curls in the front of my hair but would be hard to do my whole head.”

Favorite hair tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product! I have curly hair so I typically blow dry my hair after every wash. I love that I can use this product for multiple things- blow drying, curling, and styling. I also am a big fan of the attachment that eliminates frizz.

I love this styler! I use every attachment and they all work great. It smooths my hair and doesn’t damage it at all. My friends are always asking me to use it because it’s so compatible with different hair types!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been on the market for a new hair dryer with multiple functions and attachments and I think I found the one. I’ve only had the chance to try it once and am already satisfied with this purchase! It already had cut my drying time significantly. Key highlights are the heat control, cold shock, and the frizz taming. It also was not loud as a typical hairdryer and I love how compact it is and how easily it can be packed for travel. The only con I’ve encountered is there is a bit of a learning curve with the curling wand. Otherwise it’s a nice investment for hair styling.

Very good for curly hair girls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To preface: I have 3B bleached curls that has undergone treatments and I’m currently trying to grow it back in the most healthy way possible whilst still straightening it. I struggle mostly with dull and damaged/dry hair.
This IonFlex was a very well welcomed surprise. I’m not sure how the technology works but this flexstyle leaves my hair way shinier than any other blow dryer. I love to blowout my hair and usually I have to go in with a straightener and silk oil at the roots and mids to remove frizz but I didn’t have to do that at all with this flexstyle. It took me a lot less time and damage to get the same results which are a bouncy and shiny blowout. I started with just the dryer with no attachment, and then I used the oval brush to finish drying the hair and finally the tubes to finish that blowout bouncy look.
I can’t speak for other hair types but I highly recommend this for my curly hair girls that want to blow out their hair but don’t want to endure the consequences of heat damage (split ends, frizz, etc). It’s also a plus that you can use attachments from previous models for this one.

Great Drying Power, But Curls Don’t Last

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like how powerful the Shark FlexStyle IonCurl Air Styling & Drying System is. The speed and heat settings are very easy to adjust, and it can get surprisingly hot. For drying my hair, I usually stick to the first heat setting and the second speed setting. The third speed is almost too strong for my hair and can cause it to knot while drying. I have very thin hair, so it tangles pretty easily, but the upside is that this dryer gets my hair dry very quickly.
The curling feature was a little different for me because I normally use a regular curling wand. I really like that the air wraps my hair around the barrel for me, which makes curling feel much easier and means I don't have to worry about accidentally burning myself. However, I found it difficult to get the defined, tight curls that I usually prefer. The curls came out much looser, and they started to fall out pretty quickly as I moved on to other sections of my hair.
I also don't normally put any product in my hair before curling, so that could definitely be part of the reason the curls didn't hold as well. Overall, I really like the drying power and how easy the FlexStyle is to use, but I would probably still use my regular curling iron when I want tighter, longer-lasting curls.
I would recommend this to a friend!
