[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a little over 3 months ago and I'm obsessed with it! 😍 The airflow pause function that is built in to the cool shot button is so convenient when using the curl attachments. I love that there are different size curl attachments for it now too. I had the original FlexStyle and debated upgrading and it was totally worth it! This definitely dries hair quicker with minimal frizz and maximum shine! 😊💖✨️

I love this stylish hair styler 😍. It was many different settings for your liking and good performance in every setting, my hair feels so much softer and not damage instead of using a heat styler and not air, I will not be going back lmao but definitely recommend I might need a few more tries to perfect but so far I love itttt 😍.

Very powerful tool with great airflow!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hair dryer is very powerful and dries the hair quickly. However, the high power can sometimes dry out my hair too much, so I prefer using it on the lowest setting, which works much better for me. The styling doesn't hold all day, but it's still a good and professional tool for daily use.

Upgrade, now!!

I had the OG Flexstyle that came out in 2022. Got it for Christmas that year and ran it into the GROUND. Used it for every blow dry and blow out since. Light weight, easy to hold. For hair like mine (fine but a lot of it) doing a blow out with a brush takes forever and the curl doesn’t hold. My first flex style I purchased the larger barrel attachments, I don’t even think they made smaller ones yet. Never got the smaller ones until NOW with the new IonCurl. I think even though my hair is long I needed that smaller barrel to get curls that actually hold after brushing out/time. The new barrels seem like they wrap easier and faster, as well and don’t have the same ridges in them to create dents in my hair if the hair is around the barrel too tight. I’m not sure if the Ion helped with frizz more than normal, I only did a rough dry and used the curl attachments not smoothing at all first with a brush but I do love the new feature of the cool shot button being a pause button between curls!
Also shout out to Shark for sending a new order out when my first flex style box arrived completely empty🥲 that was mean of the OnTrac person who stole it. The second one arrived safe with FedEx🫶

Oval brushed snagged my hair

I wanted to love it. I really did. It ultimately I ended up sending it back.
Things I loved:
The dryer aspect of it was great! In fact I thought about keeping it just for that! I love that it is so slim and you have so much control over bother the speed AND the heat level.

Things I didn’t love:
The attachments I got were the oval brush, the curlers, and the diffuser. The first one I tried was the oval brush. I thought it would give me a nice, fluffy, 90’s style blow out but not really. It didn’t curl or even flip my ends at all. My hair came out straight with no curl no matter how much I tried (and I have naturally wavy hair). So that was disappointing, PLUS my hair snagged in the crevice where the brush clicked into the dryer. It kept getting caught and tangled and ripped out some hairs, which kind of defeats the “no damage” idea.

I also felt like the dryer, when straight with a tool on the end, felt heavy and cumbersome. It just feels very long and unwieldy, and even though I workout 4 days a week my shoulders were aching while using it.
The air curlers were what I was most excited for. And they definitely worked! But the curls weren’t smooth. Perhaps it’s just because I have some texture in my natural wave patterned but I realized my hair does better with an iron to halo smooth the curl. For me, the air curls felt frizzy and felt flat pretty quickly which I didn’t expect.
Overall, it was an impressive tools for what it is. I loved the versatility of it and perhaps my expectations were just misaligned, but in the end it just wasn’t for me.
