We bought a Cusinart. Bad! Then a Breville. Worse!! The GE is charm. Perfect toast. Great lift.

Burning smell

Overall the toaster is great. There was a burning smell throughout the whole house at first but not anymore. Have to really increase on the dial just to get a bread toasted

As the elements heat up for the first time, a smell is expected to occur as they cure. We recommend that the toaster be set to the maximum heat and placed in a well ventilated room.
