Denser bread needs a full throttle setting.....
It does a great job on job on bagels.It toasts as well as could be expected as there seems to be a demise in quality toasters that are non-commercial.

Wish the instrument panel was illuminated, so we not have to have a flashlight to know what we are doing

I really like the toaster. The slots are plenty wide for bagels and English muffins. There are plenty of setting for darkness of the toast.
