Doesn’t toast dark on first try at highest level elements in toaster only look like half are heading

We recommend checking the browning setting selected for toasting. Select a lower setting next time if your toast is too dark and a higher setting if your toast is too light. Also check that the frozen button is not selected. If none of this seems to help, please call 1-800-432-2737 for service questions.

I like the style and look of the toaster. It matches my kitchen appliances and breadbox. Four slices is convenient. Seems to be built solid. I hoped it would toast quickly, but it takes the same amount of time as my old toaster. Although, it does toast bread more evenly and the lift handles work better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Looks great. Like that it has 4 slots and adjustable toast color by number. I like that the cord can be wrapped under the bottom and come out in various places. Only suggestion would be to make the plug in flat with downward angle so it fits closer to the wall.
