Have to go to 6 or 7 to get a decent "toast" (and I don't like burnt or dark brown toast). Seems to take a long time to toast the bread.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The wide slots are great for bagels and frozen waffles. The temperature is somewhat hard to get right. Takes a few tries to get the color right.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love the toaster. Every toaster I’ve gotten lately just has not toast on both sides and it even will only toast the top of the bread and not the bottom but this one is perfect.

This toaster is awesome. I bought it to match all of the rest of the brand new GE products that I got in a kitchen appliance package deal. It works best for my elderly father, and my younger cousins. We all love the fact that you can use the lever and lift it up a decent amount where you do not get burned and it’s stays there to retrieve whatever item you just got done toasting. Great product highly recommended.

this is the 3rd toaster I have purchased to try to met my husbands needs. Wide slots, 4 slots, adjustible "doneness", cancel button etc. This toaster has it all. Easy to use, easy to clean!
