Good toaster

This is a good toaster and it looks good, too. I like the choice of settings and the size of the slots. I do find that it has to be cranked up to a high setting to get a nice toasty product but I guess that leaves lots of options for other times. Also, I know I need to get used to it. My previous different brand one was 0 to burn at low settings!

I wish the top panel where bread slices go in was one piece vs two as crumbs get stuck. Other than that- looks great- works great!

Uneven toasting

The toaster does not brown the bread to the same darker on each side. One side of the bread is brown and the other is hardly toasted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Try this:
Check the browning setting selected for toasting. Select a lower setting next time if your toast is too dark and a higher setting if your toast is too light. Also check that the Frozen button is not selected.
If this doesn't work, service may be needed. Please have your serial number and your model number available when calling for service. Call 1.800.GE.CARES (1-800-432-2737) for service questions.
