The toaster does what is designed to do quite well. Toast comes out evenly done. The only suggestion for improvement would be making dial numbers more visible.

I have had a GE toaster in the past and just loved it. The one I just bought isn’t nearly as good as the last one.

Does not make Toast

This toaster only browns the bread if you use the highest setting and also push the bagel button. Any other settings and you just get slightly warm bread- not toast. It is so disappointing. When I contacted the company, they suggested I just return it where I got it but I don't have the original box so I could not. At least I figured out a way to get toasted bread but it is an expensive purchase for what is effectively a one setting toaster.

We are sorry for the issues you are having. We recommend setting the darkness setting to 4 and see if that helps. If this doesn't help, we recommend exchanging it for a new toaster with your dealer. They can always take the box from the new unit if that is required for the return. We do see that you've reached out to someone and received some contact numbers for assistance. Note: When using the bagel setting, it will only toast on one side.
