Not working very well.

We received the 2nd new toaster less that 1 month ago. The side lever used to lower the bread to the hearing wires got stuck in the "on" or depressed location. this is our 2nd GE toaster in less than 6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

"Makes good toast"

They don't make toasters like they use too...some will say. It doesn't apply to this one. This toaster toasts the bread evenly on both sides, the settings are accurate and it's a standard toaster, no frills or thrills, just a toaster that does what it's supposed to do by doing it right "Makes good toast".
I would recommend this to a friend!

Reliable control of toasting, outside remains cool to touch. Easy clean surface and convenient discard of crumbs. Only con is it doesn't have additional raising of basket from slot to reach smaller items

Basically an exact copy of the toaster I had for 20+ years, except with a metal housing and parts rather than plastic. Bonus points for not having a stupid pointless touchscreen or internet connectivity.

Finally a decent toaster that looks like a toaster

So far a great toaster unlike some we have purchased! Cooks pretty even on both normal and bagel settings. Just feels like a toaster on how it was built. Hope it stays the coarse for some time!

“I absolutely love this GE toaster! The stainless steel finish gives it a sleek, modern look that looks great in my kitchen. The buttons light up to indicate which mode you’ve selected (like bagel or frozen), which is super handy and adds a nice touch. The toasting options are fantastic, offering more choices than my previous toasters from Black+Decker and Hamilton Beach. It’s also surprisingly easy to pull the lever down without tipping the toaster over, which was a problem with other, cheaper models. Plus, it’s very quiet—you barely hear the heating elements, and it toasts bread evenly every time. Highly recommend!”
