The toaster does not cook evenly. The bottom cooks faster than the top half. I have to rotate everything I drop in it to make it appear to have cooked evenly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Sorry to hear that your toaster isn't toasting evenly, we can understand how that'd be frustrating.
In this case, we'd recommend that you check the browning setting selected for toasting. Try selecting a lower setting next time if your toast is too dark and a higher setting if your toast is too light. Also, check that the Frozen button is not selected.
If none of these help, then we recommend taking advantage of your warranty as seen on page 7 of your Use and Care manual, here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-9000001-2.pdf

We’ve had our toaster a few weeks now. It does a great job on bagels as well as the toast. We’re very pleased with this toaster and highly recommend this product for simplicity and functionality.

Nice looking. Toasts better than some I’ve had. Plenty enough room for bagel thickness. Pretty uniform toasting. Two complaints: For bagels or English muffins the dial has to be set to the highest setting to get a decent toasting color and I like a compact toaster, size ok but too tall.
