Just received the toaster today. Made toast. Fantastic. My old toaster kept blowing up. It appears that this one is gonna do the job make toast love toast, love GE got the beautiful two sliced toaster fits well on the cabinet. Looks nice and welcome addition to our home.
Seems okay out of the box. Need more time to confirm if it toasts evenly. No “single “ slice control. Uncomplicated versus the old electronic cuisinart we had.
It seems to toast on one side, but has good features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

There's only so much one can write about a toaster but I've found this unit to (so far) be reliable, performant, and of decent build quality for the price. My main criticism is I wish this unit had a digital countdown timer instead of an analog wind-up dial. Overall I am satisfied with this unit.
Beautiful looking on our counter, perfect size for bagels and home made bread. Makes perfectly toasted bread and works on both sides at once. Perfect size for the two of us. And what I secretly really like is the ease of simply pushing Cancel to bring to toast up instead of struggling with the lever.
I purchased another GE toaster because the one I had before worked for over 20 years. Unfortunately, the quality of this new one isn’t the same . . . After a month of use, I have found it does not toast consistently. With 2 slices of toast, the toast is more well done towards the back (away from the buttons) and lighter towards the front. With 1 slice of toast, one slot toasts darker than the other. This is without changing the controls.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
