[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had iPhones for a hot minute. I love them. But when I saw the newest Fold they put out, I knew I had to try it. It’s not my first time dual wielding both ecosystems, but I wanted to see how this one would fare against everything I usually do. It’s smooth, it’s easy to use, it’s very customizable.
I’m so glad I chose the Z Fold 8.

Vibes of Blackberry Storm

So for those of you who have been rockin smart devices since the days of the Palm, this device brings back memories of my Blackberry Storm as far as size and usability with the front screen. The part that makes it the best device I have used in my decades of smart devices is that it opens to an even larger screen when needed with the perfect aspect ratio both landscape and portrait.
I cannot comment on the AI features as I do not use them much, if at all.
I am an avid reader with the occasional media consumption along with the day to day multitasking required for my job in education. The Fold 8 is by far the best device I have owned in terms of usability, screen size, visibility, and overall functionality. The software is superb! I cannot say enough about this device. Its compact form and function are what we fold users have been begging for and Samsung listened!
It may not be for everybody, but for those of us who have tried it all, this device is pretty perfect.

Best phone for everyday use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy z fold 8 and it's a decision I'm honestly glad I made. I did so much research about the phone and watched countless reviews, some of which made me excited for the phone and some that made me hesitant. The conversation was always about how the specs look 'on paper', sacrificing the telephoto lens and some complaints about app optimization, but the reality is that for everyday use this is probably the best phone I've ever used and the most enjoyable by far. From scrolling through social media and watching movies, to actually using my phone for work, this phone has made each experience so much better. It's clear that this phone will only get better over time and I'm excited to see what the future updates will bring

So close.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to move from the Galaxy S24 Ultra to the Galaxy Z Fold 8. It is my first folding phone and will not be my last. It is a very different experience - the comparative fragility of the device is a concern, as is the downgrade in cameras and most critically the lack of an s pen. If Samsung were to offer the rumored, "Pro" version of the 8 with a telephone and built in s-pen, I think they will have succeeded in producing the most optimal mobile platform to date, bar none. That said, the Fold 8 is a transformative experience when coming from the old slab style phones. The inner display, while prone to scratches, is bright, crisp, nearly crease-less and great for productivity; while the outer display is much more capable than the purely utilitarian use cases I had imagined. If you're fold-curious, this is the phone to try.

This is a nice and exciting upgrade for my phone.

New AI technology and sidewide folding is much easier than the old Zfold that I Had. I am so happy with this new Zfold8. I am glad with this upgrade so far.
