the perfect form factor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone is seriously powerful and the perfect size - you are really getting three unique form factors with this product. I chose to use my first Samsung phone in over 12 years (I had a galaxy s3 last!) and I don't regret it. The customization and software are perfect for foldables.

Wide Foldable Form Factor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When Samsung announced the Fold8, I was hesitant about the form factor. I previously had a Fold4 but moved back to a slab phone after about a year. I missed having a foldable though for multitasking. I got hands on and was surprised how good this phone felt in the hand and the 8th gen of these phones are so much thinner than my Fold4 was. It was a hard choice, but I chose the Fold8 over the Ultra and I'm really glad I did. Typing on the outer display is great and I don't feel cramped like I did on the taller, more narrow foldable form factor.
The inner display is awesome for consuming content. If you're a manga reader, this screen is perfect for it. Even the outer display is good for a lot of content consumption. That doesn't mean it can't multitask well either. Samsung's software for their Fold line is great. Having two apps side by side feels great on the inner screen on this thing.
Honestly, the only downside is the camera setup. The two that are here are very good. I can get some great photos from this thing. But the lack of a telephoto lens and keeping that exclusive to the Ultra is a shame. It would have been nice to have that on this device, too. Regardless, my overall impressions of this phone are incredibly positive and I think it would be hard to go back to any other phone form factor after this.

Great phone and comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After more than 4 years with the Flip which has been my favorite phone of all time this one has taken that spot. The Fold 8 is comfortable to hold, amazing when you open it and has an amazing screen.
You dont have to open the phone if you don't want to, and use it fully from the smaller size, something the flip couldn't do. It's a great phone.

Very interesting design, need time to get used

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I switched from a Z Fold 7 mainly for the reason that the top screen is too narrow and also typing on it is hard. The Z Fold 8 fixes those issues but seems not tall enough. I cannot help the feeling that I am missing a lot of information now, and I have to scroll more often. Opening the inner screen helps but only if I flip it, in which case is perfect.
The weight and the pocket-ability of the Z Fold 8 are great and I think that, once I get used with the above, I will love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting a foldable phone for a while, but did not want the candy bar format of the Fold ultra. When this passport style form factor each announced, I was skeptical. Once I saw it on person, and held it in my hands and I knew I had to have it. I chose the Z Fold 8 in lavender, which is a gorgeous color. I love this phone's versatility. Streaming, scrolling, typing, multitasking. This phone does it all well. I love both displays, the colors are vibrant without feeling oversaturated. The battery life so far is very impressive. I'm looking forward to enjoying this device on daily life as well as traveling.

Obsessed is an understatement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Look...I've had ALLLLL the phones. Like all of them. And this one is the one to end it all! I'm so obsessed with it, it's not even funny. The short, chunky design has my heart aflutter! It's really so easy to hold in the and when it's unfolded the screen is a masterpiece. I just came from the flip 7 and s26 ultra and neither of those phones exist for me anymore. The compact and full size of this phone beats the flip for me and I LOVED that phone. I'm now officially a fold girly for life!
The outer screen lets you do anything and everything so if you're in a rush or just need to check something and move on, you're set. If you have all the time in the day, doom scrolling with the unfolded screen is amazing. The picture is clear and big, you see things easier and reading on this!? My bookish life is set.

The z-fold 8 is awesome!
