A standout feature is its compact, passport-style form factor, which is notably wider than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. This design significantly enhances grip and provides a more natural feel, contrasting with the longer, narrower profile of the Fold 8 Ultra. The Z Fold 8 is an exceptionally well-designed device, and I find it to be perfect in every aspect. I particularly appreciate the extended battery life, reduced screen crease, and the seamless folding and unfolding mechanism. The customization options for these phones are also highly impressive, complemented by an excellent range of color choices.
The wider keyboard on the front cover greatly improves typing efficiency. Furthermore, the video viewing experience on this device is exceptional, especially with the front screen, eliminating the need to open or unfold the device. The screen ratio represents a significant advancement. Additionally, the Fold 8 offers a more comfortable fit in pockets and generally feels more refined. The side-mounted fingerprint reader operates flawlessly, adding a convenient touch. The multitasking capabilities are outstanding, allowing for three full-screen applications to be open simultaneously on the inner display. Media consumption on the Z Fold 8 is truly remarkable and a superior experience.

When I heard the news that a wider version was coming, I was so excited because I thought it might fit the way I have been using a larger display while still being convenient to carry.
Now that I’ve been using it for several days, I can say that it truly satisfies the reason I chose the Fold in the first place to enjoy in a modernized shape.

The best foldable ever

By shifting to a passport-style, wider cover display, Samsung has solved the biggest headache of previous generations: no more cramped, awkward typing on the front screen. At a featherlight 201 grams, it feels shockingly normal in your pocket and effortlessly comfortable in one hand.
Unfolding the device reveals a stunning 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a dramatically reduced, virtually invisible crease thanks to the new Flex Titanium hinge. Movies look glorious with minimal letterboxing, side-by-side multitasking is seamless, and the silicon-carbon battery easily delivers all-day battery life paired with snappy 45W fast charging.

Awesome for Watching Videos or Reading Books

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I've owned a Fold 5 for three years prior to the Fold 8, and I have to say I much prefer the "short king" for the things I use my phone for the most: watching videos and reading books.
The front screen is just so much more suited to watching videos, no giant black bars on the sides. You get an actually enjoyable image, and if you want more, the open Fold 8 gives you the same experience as its taller cousins, also with far less black bars. Honestly I always felt like if I wanted to watch something I needed to open the phone, and then it wasn't as convenient to hold. This is perfect.
The other great thing is that the passport-shape is perfect for reading. It's great both horizontal and vertical. Vertical when you want a notebook-sheet experience, and horizontal if you want the two-column experience.
Multi-window is much improved too. There's finally enough real estate to get a full screen experience on both sides, no more weird tall windows that some apps hate. Hold it vertically for one giant app, or horizontal for two regular sized apps. It's great if you need to handle a complex task away from a desk.
I'm glad I chose the Fold 8. I'd almost over the decision for a long time since my 5 was still perfectly good, but it really wasn't as well suited for what I mostly do on it, so when the Fold 8 was announced I followed all the news. I've had it a week now and I couldn't be happier.

Absolutely perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this after multiple videos on YouTube. Saying how great it is. I had my concerns. All of it was put to rest. When I received my phone. Cameras are good, performances amazing. Perfect size. Some of these videos or some of these people will say. Cameras could be better. Maybe, I'm not a professional photographer. I take a picture for the moment, and memory. It does just that. You couldn't ask for a better phone.

The Best Fold yet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried multiple different model from all the companies (Google fold pro, moto razr, samsung, oppo). And now that samsung has chosen the passport form factor... I chose the z fold 8... It's perfect for texting on the outside... The internal screen with the new titanium sheet really hides the crease when viewing any content. One UI has always been my favorite interface and with Good lock, it's made even better! These, amongst other, features/functions are the reasons why I chose my house to be a Samsung house!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose z fold 8 , because this is the perfect size and upgrade from a flip phone , perfect combination of size and fold, this is my first fold ever and I am so proud, happy & excited , I just wished the speakers were louder I was having a hard time hearing the other person over the phone and wished there was a telephoto lense. Overall perfect fold for a new series, love it , I just want to keep looking at the phone and keep holding it.
