The hinge and form factor sold me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Fold 8 after going back and forth on whether a foldable was practical for everyday use, and the form factor is what won me over. Closed, it handles like a normal phone — one-handed, no awkward reaching, no strange typing angles. Open, it becomes a tablet when I actually want the screen real estate. That balance is the entire point of a foldable, and this is the first one that gets both halves right for me. The hinge is the other big upgrade. It feels solid and deliberate through the full range of motion, holds position where I set it, and the crease is far less noticeable than I expected. It does not feel like a fragile piece of tech I have to baby, which was my main hesitation going in. Day to day, the large screen is excellent for multitasking, reading, and reviewing photos. At some point I stopped thinking about the fact that it folds at all — it just became my phone. If you have been on the fence about foldables, this is the one that makes the case.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the portable passport like form factor size, glad I chose to upgrade to this model from S25 Ultra.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had every version of the Samsung zfold start8ng with the 1st Generation fold. I chose the Zfold 8 because of the design and the battery life. The video quality is amazing! I l9ve the way the phone feels in my hand and that it has a very usable screen when folded. Keep up the amazing work samsung. I love this phone!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to trade in my SGZFold7 from last year for this years SGZFold8. I chose the Fold8 because of the smaller form factor. All of my Folds previously (2, 5,6 & 7) folded "hotdog style" and this year's "hamburger style" is a refreshing take on a foldable.
This is the best folding phone I've had and any "downsides" to this phone is just looking for something to complain about.
Speaker placement on the left panel when unfolded How small it is Not having a telephoto camera Battery / screen smaller than 8Ultra Less multitasking
I use a headset that's connected to my personal & work phone. Audio is routed through headset
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the 8, and I would again. Muscle memory growing pains and all. The form factor makes me wonder how we ended up with bars instead. Less than a week with it now and it feels the way everything else should have. Highly recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this phone because I have a Z Fold 7 and the form factor never really fit for me. I have large hands and the thin folded form of it is difficult to use. My hands feel cramped, the z fold 8 just fixes everything. I mean everything I watch a lot of videos. I do a lot of homework. I use my phone as a literal mini pocket computer. And this thing checks all of the boxes I could ever ask for.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned every previous version of the Z fold product line, and I have to say, this is the absolute best Z fold yet. The Z fold 8 is the perfect size both when folded and in open modes. The screens are huge and have gorgeous display abilities. On the regular, I choose to stream TV, movies and live sports... All of them look crystal clear... And the crease is gone! The Z fold 8 is also very fast and capable of handling multiple tasks in open windows all at once. I truly love this iteration and almost wish I could get another one just for the fun of it! Thank you Samsung, for getting right again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Galaxy Z Fold8 and so far I’m really impressed with it. Samsung continues to improve the foldable experience, and this generation feels more refined, premium, and practical than ever.
The larger inner display is one of my favorite things about the phone. It makes multitasking, watching videos, browsing, and handling work-related tasks much more enjoyable than on a traditional smartphone. Being able to open multiple apps at once is something I didn’t realize I would use as much as I do.
The phone also feels great in the hand, and the overall design is sleek and premium. The cameras take excellent photos, the performance is smooth, and everything feels fast and responsive.
The biggest downside is still the price. It’s definitely an expensive phone, so it may not be for everyone. But if you want something that combines the convenience of a smartphone with some of the functionality of a tablet, the Fold8 is an impressive device.
Overall, I’m very happy with the Galaxy Z Fold8. Samsung has continued to make foldables feel less like a novelty and more like a phone you can realistically use every day. Definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a premium foldable.
