[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the hardest time deciding between Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra, but ultimately I chose to go with Fold 8 because I couldn't resist how light it was on my hand. Yes Fold 8 Ultra is light as well but Fold 8 had the perfect grip when closed.
The fact you get the minimum black bars when watching youtube and netflix, as well as comfortable typing space on the front screen (coming from previous Fold series, this was a huge plus), this phone is everything I imagined on what a Foldable should be. Also how the size is basically the same as a mini Tablet when unfolded is just a cherry on top. I'm using my Fold 8 on a daily baiss more than I've used my previous Folds.
Fold 8 is the perfect Fold!!

When it was time to upgrade my own daily driver, i chose the Fold8 specifically for its unmatched multitasking capabilities and bigger picture for watching media. Overall great device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the new build design on this new Gen Z fold 8. After going through the past 7 generations of z folds, it was well worth the redesign and the new camera features on this fold 8.
Being a tech expert in my career, having multiple apps in use at once is one thing I can’t go without since the z folds have come to be.

Changing from Flip to Fold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially thought the Z Fold 8 was just a compromised, smaller version of the Ultra. I expected to return it, but I was completely wrong. Samsung created a far better everyday experience.
What I love:
Form Factor: When closed, it’s compact, lightweight, and actually fits in your pocket. The cover screen is incredibly comfortable for one-handed use.
Anti-Reflective Screen: A massive upgrade. It eliminates outdoor glare and makes the inner crease far less noticeable since less light bounces off it.
Battery & Performance: Incredible optimization! I consistently get ~10 hours of screen-on time with heavy use (gaming, multitasking). It runs smoothly without overheating.
What needs work:
No Telephoto Lens: My biggest complaint. The main camera is good, but they entirely removed the telephoto lens.
No Flex Mode Software: You can prop the phone open, but it lacks the Ultra's dedicated Flex Mode software features.
Minor Quirks: The camera bump makes wireless charging placement finicky. The inner punch-hole camera is noticeably prominent, and landscape audio feels a bit left-heavy.
Final Verdict:
If a telephoto lens is mandatory, buy the Ultra. But if you want a foldable that is perfectly optimized and an absolute joy to live with every single day, this is the one. Highly recommended!
