[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the galaxy z fold 8 as my fist foldable phone. It’s definitely an investment, but the improved outer display and massive inner screen make it feel completely practical for daily use. I can't go back to a regular slab phone.

The perfect size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade to the Z Fold 8 because I really like the form factor, both when folded and especially unfolded. Being able to enjoy media with proper scaling was a big factor, so despite the Fold 8 being smaller than previous Folds, you get more out of the inner screen when viewing videos due to the aspect ratio. The phone is feels light but durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally Samsung made a phone that supports the form factor, features, and everything I was looking for in a folding, productivity device. With it's wider aspect ratio, I find multitasking better, even more so than the ZFold8 Ultra, and all around better experience than any other phone device (and I've had plenty over the years).
The size and hand feel, as well as the pocket feel, is perfect (chef's kiss), everything one could actually want in a mobile device. Easily the best folding phone available to date.

It's the right size
