Amazing phone but...
on August 6, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The phone itself is amazing but can get a bit hot after continuous use. Also, I wish this phone had the sonic fingerprint sensor like the other newer galaxy lineups. Battery is mid tier, once the new ones get the silicone battery I'm sure it will be better. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and can't wait for the newer models.
One more thing, the hinge is not as transparent as before but it's still noticeable which compared to the new oppo products, this fails in comparison.

Great new phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to get this phone to experience the new form factor and man do I enjoy it 24 hrs later. We'll see how it holds up but I've had folding phones since 2020 and I'm not too worried. The front and I side screens are very great and I'm excited to get used to them

How great is the new Fold 8?
on August 6, 2026
Posted by: Brandonf150
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the new Fold 8 to try the new size, but I am disappointed by the losses on the camera quality starting around 20ft away. In addition, the half folds (L shape) or tent fold (A Shape), don't seem to work that well. It actually measure up well next to my Fold 3, so I turn it long ways to type better, as the wide screen makes the keyboard too long for me. I also miss the full size of the cover screen. It severely displaced my home screen and spit the icons up weirdly over the other panels. Like the left over icons from panel 1, didn't simply get pushed to panel 2? I want to see if I can switch to the Fold 8 Ultra.

Fall in love with this phone
on August 6, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I choose the Z Fold 8 as a way to explore a new form factor, and after a few days of use, I genuinely find it quite enjoyable. In my honest opinion, this device is well-suited for a foldable design, as everything appears to be appropriately sized for everyday use. When paired with the new Buds Pro 4, I believe this combination makes it the best media consumption device available.

Z Fold 8 - Small Phone Into Small Tablet, Perfect!
on August 6, 2026
Posted by: Andres
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TLDR: I wanted a small phone that turns into a small tablet, not a big phone that turns into a (bigger) small tablet. This does that, feels great in the hand, and the front screen size provides enough info where opening to the inner screen meets any additional screen space I would want. Is part of the joy the fact that it's something new? Probably, but so far I haven't missed anything from the Z Fold 7 size and the tradeoffs (smaller screen and no 200mp or 3x zoom camera) are very much worth it.
I previously had the Z Fold 6 and Z Fold 7 so I was familiar with the candy bar shape. Objectively, the now-named Z Fold 8 "Ultra" series is better for productivity because it has the larger screen when compared to the non-ultra Z Fold 8, but despite this i'm glad I chose the non-ultra size. I wanted a small(ish) phone that turned into a small tablet, rather than a large phone that turns into a small tablet. The size feels much better in the hand, better in the pocket, and when opening it feels better for e-reading while taking less space that the ultra. The lack of 200mp main camera or 3x zoom doesn't bother me, and it's worth for the better ergonomics of this phone.

Perfect palm pal
on August 6, 2026
Posted by: Honeys
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this z fold 8 after going back and forth between this and the flip. This one fits nicely in my palm when closed. Previously had the s24 ultra and still love that phone as well. But it was super top heavy and couldn't fit in purses etc. Folded out I love using the multiple apps. I keep forgetting the crease at all. Only downside is while charging and running apps it tends to get really hot. But maybe that's a sign for me for less screentime.
